Gymnasium, recreation room, restrooms, full kitchen, library, Family Resource Center (third floor). Three meeting rooms, the gym, kitchen, and building are available for rental. Call 349-3735 for reservation and cost information.

Evans-Porter Memorial Library
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
The Banneker Community Center is proud to host the Evans-Porter Memorial Library in partnership with the Monroe County Public Library. Come browse the book selections, magazines and resource maerials located in the Library. Check-out procedures are easy and convenient.

Share your ideas for programs, activities and special events in the Evans-Porter Memorial Library at the Banneker Community Center. An opportunity for public comment is offered at each meeting. Banneker Green Thumbs Garden
The Banneker Green Thumbs Garden, located at the Banneker Community Center on West Seventh Street, enables youth enrolled in the Banneker Community Center's after-school and summer programs to learn the art of organic gardening. Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, a local food pantry, partners with the Community Gardening Program to help educate the youth of our community while producing food to be distributed to community members in need through the Plant a Row for the Hungry campaign. - Interior rehabilitation-remodel all finishes in library, establish kitchen, new lighting, alarm system, HVAC (1994)
- Replace south gym entry doors and transom window (1997)
- Tuckpoint gymnasium (1998)
- Replace south entrance foors and arched transom window' rehab/replace linestone steps, new handrail and lighting (1999)
- Replace carpet on 3rd floor (2000)
- Replace windows on original school building; restore 3rd floor window openings to original size; tuckpoint, replace damaged linestone, new limestone sills on school building (2001-2002)
- Replace carpeting in library; HVAC upgrades; new gymnasium roof, guttering, and downspouts (2002)
- Replace gymnasium windows; replace gymnasium doors (2003)
