ADOPT A SHELTER CAT MONTH - All month of June

The City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control Division will celebrate June as Adopt A Shelter Cat Month with two-for-one cat adoptions, joining shelters across the country in drawing attention to the high number of cats and kittens in urgent need of lifelong homes.

In addition to the fee discount, adopters will receive a free bag of cat supplies sponsored by the Monroe County Humane Association that includes food, a bowl and a toy. The two-for-one adoption fees also will be available through the month of July as the Shelter looks to encourage adoptions during the months when the most cats and kittens are taken in.

The public can visit adoptable animals at the City Animal Shelter located at 3410 South Walnut.

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon until 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
