Assist in the implementation and overall management of the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Departmetn's Health and Wellness program area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the Get Onboard Active Living (G.O.A.L.) program (must be available Tuesdays from 4-7:30 p.m.); Bloomington Walking Club (must be available Thrusdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m.); Bloomington Employee Wellness programming, and other duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in exercise science, recreations, or public health with an emphasis on youth or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Master's Degree in progress preferred.

Training/Special Skills

Ability to interact effectively with the public. must be mature and exercise good judgment. Must have strong planning and organization skills. Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and take direction. Knowledge of health and wellness programming.


Experience in program administration and program planning is recommended. Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate and work with others.


Valid driver's license, CPR/AED and First Aid or ability to obtain. ACE, AFAA, or ACSM grou fitness or personal training certification preferred.


Monday-Friday, must also have weekend availability. 10-20 hours per week, July 17-November 22, 2017.


$15 per hour
