Position Description
Ensures the safety and well-being of patrons; enforces facility rules; conducts emergency procedures when necessary; maintains facility cleanliness; participates in all regular, ongoing in-service training sessions; takes direction from Pool Manager and Pool Supervisor; fosters good public relations

Education
High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Training/Special Skills
Lifeguard training required; previous guarding experience desirable

License/Certification
Lifeguard training required. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or equivalent swim instructor certification preferred. First Aid, CPR-PRO and AED required. Only First Aid, CPR-PRO and AED classes will be offered by the Department; candidates must currently possess lifeguard training certification, or take the lifeguard training course offered by the Department.

Hours
Varies anywhere between 20 and 40 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Flexible schedule required. Season: mid-May through September 7, 2015.

Wage
$8.20 - $8.94 per hour
