Proclamation

WHEREAS, Jennifer Moore should be commended for her unselfish actions on the morning of April 5, 2008, at the Bypass at Kinser Pike in Bloomington, Indiana; and
WHEREAS,

Jennifer demonstrated her compassionate, caring nature during an emergency situation following a car accident. Columbus, Ohio, resident Amy Horowitz was injured in the accident, and Jennifer rushed to help her during her time of need; and

WHEREAS,

that morning, Jennifer went above and beyond her duties as a bystander to provide emotional and physical support to Amy and others at the scene; and

WHEREAS,

Jennifer was on her way to a prior engagement, but unselfishly acted as a good Samaritan, unloading Amy's disabled vehicle and taking Amy's daughter to be with her mother at the hospital; and

WHEREAS,

Jennifer stayed at the hospital until Ms. Horowitz's friends and family members could arrive; and

WHEREAS,

Jennifer is a local hero and truly represents the best of Bloomington.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mark Kruzan, Mayor of Bloomington, Indiana, do hereby proclaim May 5, 2008 as

Jennifer Moore Day

in Bloomington, Indiana, and urge all residents to applaud Jennifer for her heroic efforts in a time of crisis.
