City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department

Position Description

Keeps scorebook and all necessary statistics for each game. Operates electronic scoreboard. Announces batters during state and national tournaments.


High school education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; some college preferred.

Training/Special Skills

Knowledge of baseball/softball scorekeeping required.


Scorekeeping experience and knowledge of electronic scoreboard operation preferred.


Applicant must be available to work weekend tournaments, Friday evenings-Sunday evenings. Positions available April through the end of September.

Applications are available at the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation main office and at the Student Employment Office. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
