A Fair of the Arts BEAD logo Bloomington Parks and Recreation hosts a celebration of art and community with the displays, sales, and demonstrations of visual arts and fine crafts by local and regional artists. A Fair of the Arts is held at Showers Plaza, located in front of City Hall - Showers Building at 401 N. Morton St. in Bloomington from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m.

A Fair of the Arts is a juried art fair. Accepted local and regional artists display, demonstrate, and sell their arts on the brick plaza in front of City Hall.

  • All work must be original, and made by the applicant.
  • Applications will be divided into 10 categories:
  1. clay
  2. drawing/painting/photography
  3. fiber arts
  4. glass
  5. jewelry
  6. metalwork/woodwork
  7. natural materials
  8. personal care
  9. recycled arts
  10. surfact decoration
Artists must choose one category which best represents the majority of product created and sold. This is the category in which artowrk will be juried.


Booth and Sales Information

  • Booth spaces are 10' x 10'.
  • Cost is $50 per Saturday. Commissions are NOT collected on sales.

  • March 27 - accepted artists announced
  • April 24 - booth payment due
