A Fair of the Arts is held the second Saturdays of the 2017 season. Artists must set up by 7:30 a.m. and may not tear down until 1 p.m.:

A Fair of the Arts is held at Showers Plaza, an outdoor festival site in front of City Hall at Eighth and Morton Streets in Bloomington. Accepted local and regional artists display, demonstrate, and sell their arts on the colorful brick paving.

Local and regional artists may apply to participate in A Fair of the Arts in any of 10 categories:
  • clay
  • drawing/painting/photography
  • fiber arts
  • glass
  • jewelry
  • metalwork/woodwork
  • natural materials
  • pesonal care
  • recycled arts
  • surface decoration
All work must be original and made by the applicant. Work must be safe, be a durable (not consumable) good, and exhibit quality of craftsmanship. Works will be juried based on application materials submitted.

Cost for selected artists to participate is $55 per Saturday. Commissions are not collected on sales.

Applications, and a $15 non-refundable jury fee, must be submitted by Friday, Feb. 17. Applications will be accepted beginning January 9, 2017.
