Women's History Month Luncheon
Women's History Month Luncheon - March 27, 2013
The annual Women's History Month luncheon is planned by the Women's History Month Luncheon Committee, which is organized by the City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women. Learn more about the commission. Nearly 500 people from throughout the community attend the luncheon. The lunch serves as an opportunity to recognize individual and collective accomplishments of women in our community. In addition, organizations for women and women-owned businesses will exhibit at the luncheon.
The 28th Annual Women's History Month Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Bloomington-Monroe County Convention Center, 302 S. College Avenue. The doors will open at 11:00 a.m. for viewing of women's exhibits and the program will begin at 12:15 p.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. The Woman of the Year and the Lifetime Contribution award recipients will be honored at the luncheon.
Reservations
The cost is $20.00 per individual lunch or $200 to reserve a table for eight. Seats must be purchased in advance.
Reserve a seat or table via:
- The Office of the Community & Family Resources Department, Suite 260 at City Hall, 401 N Morton Street
- Or mail your request with payment to the following address: Women's History Month Luncheon, Commission on the Status of Women, PO Box 100, Bloomington, IN 47402.
- If you are planning to sponsor or display an exhibit, you may reserve lunches through the application. See sponsorship information below.
Table reservation must include:
- The name of the organization or individual reserving the table.
- The name of each person that will be seated at the reserved table.
Payment:
- Make checks payable to the "City of Bloomington, Women's History Month Luncheon".
- Scholarships are also available for individuals that need assistance purchasing a seat to attend the lunch. Please contact Sue Owens at 349-3468 or owenss@bloomington.in.gov for more details.
Deadline:
The deadline for purchasing a seat or table is Friday, March 22, 2013.

Sponsorship and Exhibit Registration
Your group is invited to help sponsor and/or set up your exhibit at the 28th Annual Women's History Month Luncheon on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Bloomington-Monroe County Convention Center. The doors open at 11:00 a.m. Please have your exhibit set up by no later than 11:15 p.m. We ask that you do not sell items at your exhibit. The program will begin at 12:15 p.m. and end at 1:30 p.m.
Your sponsorship will help the Commission on the Status of Women continue to coordinate the annual luncheon and to recognize women that have made outstanding contributions in our community. An exhibit allows you to share your message, product or service with others who share a concern for women's issues. Exhibits will be located around the periphery of the Convention Center or near the buffet serving lines to allow maximum interaction between guests and exhibitors.

We also offer the option of underwriting lunches to enable the participation of women from area shelters and girls from local groups. Please note the "special guests" meals option on the enclosed form.
