Shelter house rentals may be made online, or by visiting the Bloomington Parks and Recreation office at 401 N. Morton St., Suite 250 in City Hall - Showers Building Monday - Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm. Shelters are available for rental April 1 through October 31. Reservations are available year round on a first-come, first-served basis.

To check availability of a specific shelter, contact the Parks and Recreation office at 349-3700. Shelter reservations must be made either in person or online; we cannot reserve a shelter over the phone.

Shelter rental fees are per day, regardless of how long you actually use the shelter. Shelters are rented to only one party per day, and shelter rental times are from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.

Bryan Park - Woodlawn Group Shelter $60/weekdays, $75/weekends and holidays
This shelter is near Woodlawn Avenue and close to Bryan Park Pool and the tennis courts. It can hold up to 120 people, is wheelchair accessible, and has grills, electrical outlets, lights, and water (seasonal). See a map of Bryan Park showing shelter location. (PDF 305.27 KB)

Bryan Park - North Shelter $47/weekdays, $50/weekends and holidays
This shelter is located near the north side of the park. It can hold approximately 25-30 people and comes equipped with a grill, water (seasonal), and electricity. See a map of Bryan Park showing shelter location. (PDF 305.27 KB)

Bryan Park - Henderson Shelter $47/weekdays, $50/weekends and holidays
This shelter is near Henderson Street, close to the Tot Lot playground, and can hold 25 to 30 people. The shelter is equipped with a grill and water (seasonal). Electricity is not available. See a map of Bryan Park showing shelter location. (PDF 305.27 KB)

Building Trades Park Shelter $47/weekdays, $50/weekends and holidays
Located in Building Trades Park across from Bloomington Hospital on Second Street, this shelter houses 25 to 30 people. It is wheelchair accessible, has accessible restrooms (open seasonally) and a grill but no water or electricity. Two accessible playgrounds are nearby. Find Building Trades Park

Cascades Park - Sycamore Shelter $70/weekdays, $85/weekends and holidays
Located in the lower portion of Cascades Park, this shelter can hold approximately 75 people. Bathrooms (open seasonally) are a part of the building, and the shelter comes equipped with grills, electricity, fireplace, water and drinking fountain (seasonal), playground access, and a large parking lot. Cascades Park - Waterfall Shelter $60/weekdays, $75/weekends and holidays
Located in the lower portion of Cascades Park, this shelter can hold approximately 75 people. Shelter has electricity, fireplace, drinking fountain (seasonal), playground, and one grill. The Waterfall Shelter is not wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are located across the road at the playground, or at the Sycamore Shelter. See a map of Lower Cascades Park showing shelter locations. Cascades Park - Lion's Den $60/weekdays, $75/weekends and holidays
This accessible shelter can accommodate 100-120 people. An accessible playground is nearby, and there are adult and children's picnic tables, electrical outlets, two grills, and a drinking fountain (seasonal) located at the shelter. Restrooms available in golf clubhouse during business hours, or Port-a-Johns located at shelter site.

Olcott Park - Howard Young Pavilion $60/weekdays, $75/weekends and holidays
This round, gazebo-like pavilion can accommodate 50-75 people. It is wheelchair accessible and comes equipped with picnic tables and a group grill, but no lights or electricity. RCA Community Park - Small Shelter $47/weekdays, $50/weekends and holidays
Located off Rockport Road/Countryside Lane on RCA Park Drive, this accessible shelter can hold approximately 25-30 people. It comes equipped with a grill, but no water or electricity. RCA Community Park - Large Shelter $55/weekdays, $65/weekends and holidays
This shelter is a beautiful wood structure, secluded among trees and accessible by boardwalk. It can accommodate 85 people and comes equipped with adult and children's picnic tables, group grills, electrical outlets and lights, and is wheelchair accessible. Winslow Woods Park Playground Shelter $55/weekdays, $65/weekends and holidays
Located off South Highland Avenue, this accessible shelter can hold approximately 120 people and comes equipped with grills and an accessible playground, electricity, and a drinking fountain (seasonal).
