Oversees the daily operation of inclusion program in large summer day camp serving children in grades K-10. Supervises counselor II's who provide one-on-one support to campers with disabilities, acts as a liaison to parents and other childcare workers, and assists Inclusive Recreation Coordinator.


Required: at least two years of college with course work in recreation, education, therapeutic recreation and/or a related field.


Experience in camp counseling/administration, working with children with disabilities, recreational programming, and/or programming for elementary-age children.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment. A high level of energy, strong organizational skills, and ability to work with people (staff and participants). It is important for the person in this position to have a calm demeanor and good problem-solving skills.


Current CPR and First Aid certifications. Incumbent has until the start of training in May to present the above paperwork.


A nine-hour shift between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and some evening, weekend, and/or overnight hours during the camp season (June to early August). Flexible part-time hours available for planning in May. Approximately 60 hours of mandatory training to begin in May.


$10.71 - $11.88 per hour
