Play It Loud...Draw A Crowd!

To File a Complaint, Call 812-339-4477

Quiet Nights is a program that provides funding to the Bloomington Police Department to enforce the City of Bloomington noise ordinance. The noise ordinance is enforced 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Violations of the ordinance can result in a warning, a fine or even charges of disorderly conduct. A simple rule of thumb is that a noise is excessive if it can be heard in the public right of way or in another resident's home. Part of being a good neighbor is not intruding on your neighbor's peaceful enjoyment of their own home.

Fine Amounts

First Offense: $50

Second Offense: $100

Third Offense: $500
