Newly elected progressive mayor, seeks an innovative and experienced Economic and Sustainable Development Director. The Director will lead city efforts to grow a sustainable, high-quality-of-life economy; lead the city's engagement in major individual projects including a downtown tech park and a $500 million new medical center; and participate actively on internal and external boards and commissions and in governmental organizations, locally, regionally, and statewide. The candidate should demonstrate effectiveness in traditional economic development endeavors such as job attraction and retention efforts, local, national and international business recruitment, attraction of funding/financing sources, project analysis, and development agreements, as well as quality of life efforts including mobility management, sustainability, arts enhancement, and a potential new city-wide broadband fiber network. A masters degree is preferred, with three to five years in the ED field, superior communication skills, and high integrity required.

Salary $76,000 - 85,000, negotiable.
