HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Advises and assists managers on HR processes and policy-related issues. Focuses on employee and labor relations responsibilities. Assists with daily HR operations, manages FMLA leave, and maintains Affirmative Action Plan. Provides support to managers in interpreting and applying policy, the hiring process, administering administrative remarks, and termination process. Conducts investigations into employee complaints and mediates conflict between employees, when necessary. Conducts exit interviews, records and analyzes relevant information, and recommends action for improvement. Assists in communicating processes, procedures, and policies to employees. Maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations. Works on special projects, as assigned by the Director.

EDUCATION
Minimum knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.

TRAINING/SKILLS
Knowledge of human resources principles, labor and employee relations, and employment law including FMLA, Title VII, PDA, ADEA, ADA, and USERRA. Knowledge of basic principles of fact-finding research and investigation. Ability to develop and implement problem-solving strategies to situations that arise. Ability to communicate accurately and in an effective, tactful and courteous manner. Ability to operate modern office equipment.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum experience equivalent to one year.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
SHRM-CP or PHR certification, preferred. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.

HOURS
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, other times as needed.

SALARY
$45,219 - $49,120
