Waterfront Director-Bryan Park Pool & Mills Pool

Thorough knowledge of the pools, and aquatic management practices and procedures, at a level generally attributed to certified pool operator. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of aquatic management, including knowledge of proper chemicals, back washing, and pump care.


High School education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Some college preferred.


Management/supervisory training and public relation skills helpful; demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively with the public. Must be able to handle situations requiring immediate judgment and decision making. Ability to supervise the work of others.


Previous experience with private or municipal aquatic programs preferred; supervisory experience required. APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.


Lifeguard training required. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or equivalent swim instructor certification preferred. First Aid*, CPR-PRO* and AED* required. Lifeguard Instructor Authorization preferred.


Approximately 20-50 hours per week, including days, evening, weekends and holidays. Must be able to attend all Department pre-season training programs conducted in May. SEASON: Early April through September 5, 2017. Flexible schedule required.


$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
