City of Bloomington 2017 Curbside Leaf Collection

2017 Leaf Collection Dates: Check back for dates.

Each residence will receive one pickup.

All leaves must be as close to the curb as possible and may not be in the roadway or around fire hydrants.

Leaves will be vacuumed, so please DO NOT include other waste as it may clog equipment.

Map Guide: The order of leaf collection is Current, Next, Upcoming, Remaining. Crews are working in the "Current" zones shown on the map in yellow. Collection will immediately move to the "Next" zones show in purple once the Current zones are completed. "Upcoming" zones shown in red will have collection start following completing of the previously Next zones. The "Remaining" zones to be collected are shown in blue and will be scheduled on a later date.

Bi-Weekly Yard Waste Pickup

On your regular yard waste collection day, you may set out leaves bagged in biodegradable/paper bags for collection WITHOUT the green yard waste tag. All other yard waste must be tagged as usual.

Green: Compost your Leaves!

Recycling your leaves by composting is the greenest way to both reduce waste and create useful fertilizer for you yard. It's natural, easy, and requires almost no maintenance and can be done in any number of ways. Plus, the leaves you compost can be used as mulch or as a valuable nutrient in your soil.
