Community Health Programs and Outreach
Community Health Programs and Outreach is a division of the Community & Family Resources Department.
- Administers an enrollment center and provides outreach for Hoosier Healthwise, a state health program that covers children and pregnant women.
- Provides application assistance to uninsured adults enrolling in the new Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) health coverage program for Hoosiers ages 18-64.

Medicare offers prescription drug coverage to everyone with Medicare. Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan Enrollment and New Benefits
- Sponsors American Red Cross blood drives for City employees and members of the public.

Promotes healthy lifestyles and disease prevention through community education, health and wellness fairs, and other means.
- Enhances awareness of health and healthcare issues, events and advocacy efforts in the community.
- Collaborates with Indiana University Health and other community organizations to accomplish these goals and objectives.
