The Bloomington Animal Shelter will be closed to the public on Wednesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 30th for staff training and migration of data into improved animal management software.

The Shelter will still process stray relinquishes, owner redemptions and animal care concerns. Please contact the shelter at 812-349-3492 if you need to schedule an appointment or require assistance from an animal control officer.

A division of the Department of Public Works, Animal Care and Control operates the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter and is the primary provider of animal-related services for Bloomington and Monroe County.
