BCOS Mission:

The City of Bloomington Commission on Sustainability (BCOS) promotes economic development, environmental health, and social equity in our community for present and future generations. The commission gathers and disseminates information; promotes practical initiatives; and measures, monitors, and reports on our community's progress toward sustainability.

Sustainability and Trends Assessment Report

The Sustainability and Trends Assessment Report (STAR) has transitioned to a largely online presence. Find more info on sustainability topics and related targets and indicators from the Sustainable City website, or download the commission's previously published Sustainability Reports.

In the fall of 2013, BCOS completed a report on City Hall based on the Global Reporting Initiative. Visit the report here (PDF 1.34 MB).
