City Clerk Provides constituent services on behalf of City Council, certifies official documents & can officiate weddings and civil ceremonies.
Common Council The City Council is the legislative body of the City and passes legislation to foster the health, safety and welfare of the City and its residents. It also is responsible for the control of the City’s property and finances, budget approval, and appropriation of money.
Community and Family Resources Programs, services and events aimed at improving the quality of life of Bloomington residents.
Economic and Sustainable Development Responsible for administering programs & initiatives to advance sustainability, small business, arts and culture, and transportation demand management.
Fire Department The City of Bloomington Fire Department serves the city of Bloomington and Indiana University.
Housing and Neighborhood Development Services include municipal code enforcement, inspection of rental housing, affordable housing, neighborhood services, and historic preservation.
Information & Technology Services Provides technology support to all city departments & develops software tools for public use.
Legal Represents the city, enforces city municipal code and provides legal expertise to government entities.
Office Of The Mayor The Mayor's Office staff includes deputy mayor, public engagement, and communications.
Parks & Recreation Department Department's Master Plan, Mission Statement, Annual Reports, Policy Manual, and Board and Commission links
Planning and Transportation Responsible for long-term planning and permitting for development and construction projects.
Public Works Includes Animal Care & Control Division, Facilities Maintenance Division, Fleet Maintenance Division, Parking Facilities Division, Sanitation Division and Street Division, as well as surplus City of Bloomington Real Property (when available).
