About the new website
Our goal for the new website is to make it easier for members of the public to get things done with their local government. We want you to be able to browse through our services as categorized by what you need, and what enriches your life in Bloomington.
Additionally, the site should act as a helpful reference for how our municipal government is structured, and how anyone can participate directly, if they want.
Why publish the new website if it isn't finished?
The new website is built upon a handful of assumptions about what kind of design will best serve the public. Although we've thought carefully about our design, sometimes real-world users see things differently. It's important to test our design assumptions early in the process, so we can change course if that would better benefit our community.
When other design teams test their work at the end of the process, rather than early, changes are harder to make.
How can I help?
We appreciate constructive feedback, sent to us at our Website Feedback Form.
We would like to know what you think about:
- The navigation structure of the site. Because the site is a work in progress, it may not have what you're looking for today. When you look at our navigation structure, do you feel like you have some idea of where you might look for it, after we publish it?
- The helpfulness of pages we have published to the new site. Does the page have accurate and up-to-date information? More importantly, do you feel like it answered the questions you have, or that it helped you accomplish your goal with the City of Bloomington?
Look for the green "Send Feedback" button at the top of this page, or in the footer of every page.
