Mays Greenhouse has a leaking gas pipe in an area frequently visited by customers (greenhouse #8, which also serves as a sales area). Additionally, many of the pesticides are out of date and release toxic fumes; the labels say they are unstable after their expiration date yet they are still used. Employees have reported headaches and dizziness after use.

Mays Greenhouse blatantly disregards safety requirements and puts its employees at risk. The manager smokes cigarettes indoors, forcing employees to inhale second-hand smoke just to complete business functions. The water they provide to their employees is unfiltered and burns, likely due to heavy amounts of fertilizers and pesticides used in the vicinity. Lastly, compost and waste are burned openly making the air around the perimeter toxic to breathe. Multiple employees, have had health problems related to exposure to the variety of hazards.

I own the property located at 1005 N. Jackson St, 47404. Shortly after purchasing the property the house next door burned down. We felt very fortunate that our house was not damaged. The house was demolished, however, shortly after demolishing the house someone has set up a tent on the lot and multiple people have been seen using the tent. There is trash surrounding the tent. Though we have not seen a fire there is what appears to be a makeshift fire pit. We use this property as a short term rental and it has the proper permits. I am personally concerned about the safety of my wife who spends some of her days working on improvements within the property. Obviously concerned about the impact on our ability to rent the home with the above described situation. I'm not sure what can be done but after reviewing the code it does not seem like this fits the intended use of the property. I am also empathetic to the rise of homelessness in our community, but this is a residential neighborhood and for the safety of all community members something should be done. We dodged a serious issue when the house burnt down and worry we may not be so lucky if something happens again. Thanks for your attention to this matter, please reach out with any questions. Please, clean up our neiborhood. I am talking about West Graham drive in Broadview. My taxes are increased and still our neighborhood has the scourge of 913 West Graham Drive. There are many unrelated people living at this address. More than the limit. The area in front of and beside the house has cars parked not on the street but in the yard. There have been many add in’s to this property and we saw no display of a building permit. Neighbors believe this is a drug house. People park their cars in the middle of the street obstructing traffic when visiting this property. Make our neighborhood safe again. Worst city government in 50 years.

two buildings on the property look vacant and are crumbling. In the satellite pic you can even see the hole in the roof on the building on the left. The middle building looks like a hoard and I'm confident the owner doesn't live in it anymore. Last week the mailbox was knocked over, then trash was all over the yard. There are missing windows, visible trash inside from the road. The barrier around the middle trailer is now broken is several places, leaving the underside of the trailer open to neighborhood cats. I worry for the people living in the single viable traier.
