Homeless people of seminary park have stolen 4-5 shopping carts and have their crap in them. Please send police to deal with these people, issue tickets and return shopping carts to the local merchants. Thanks!
Overgrown weeds and grass around the playground
I live near the entrance to the Switchyard Park. It is where I walk almost daily. I have noticed that the beautiful flower beds are full of weeds, some as tall or taller than the flowers. The last two years there were crews weeding and clearing on a regular basis but I haven't seen them this year. It seems a shame to have planted the beautiful flowers only to have weeds take over the beds. Thank you for receiving this information. I'd appreciate knowing if the flower beds will be tended to.
Water fountain is leaking
I would like to suggest adding more no-mow areas to Bryan Park, specifically around all trees (to protect them), along the North boundary (several feet in depth) and extending the no-mow area along the creek tributary which runs North West-South East and feeds into the main creek. It would be very helpful to all wildlife, particularly birds and insects. I'd be happy to talk to someone about this idea. Also reduce the number of times the park is mowed (maybe it could just be every other week?) and stop using leaf blowers!
why is there no shade in switchyard park playground? the canopies do nothing since they are just open slats. it would be easy to cover them and create shade.

The playground mulch area is getting overgrown by grass and weeds. It’s a tripping hazard for my toddler (can’t see edges of walkways and changes in elevation) and looks unsightly. Some form of weed control needs done… at minimum it needs to be mowed regularly. Thank you!!
Yellow Jacket nest directly under the basketball courts Southwest bench. My father got stung Sunday after a couple minutes sitting on the bench.
The Switchyard Park public restrooms near the splash pool were locked at 8pm Sunday while a 7pm orchestra concert was ongoing. The posted closing time is inconsiderate of the hundreds of music lovers in the concert audience who were not aware of a facilities curfew. The sympathetic parks employee said he was instructed to lock the building. In the interest of respecting anticipated needs of park users for whom the venue was built, please review the reasons for having a restroom lockdown policy during events that are expected to have a large audience.
