Hello - I am reporting a noise violation that I have previously reported to the City. I do not want to burden the police department with this, as I believe it can be worked out in a reasonable manner. The Royal Toyota South car lot on Walnut is a noise violation according to City Ordinances. I first reported this problem in December 2017 (Ureport Case #162088). The case is marked as "resolved" although the phone continues to ring just as loud and just as frequently to this day. Since that time, I have determined the City simply does not care. Business with multiple locations and money in town, versus lowly homeowner. I decided to report it again today because the phone has been ringing quite a bit lately. A review of City Ordinance 14.09.040 does not show this as a valid exemption. Under 14.09.030(c)(4) a loudspeaker is a prohibited noise. Also, I have heard this phone ring between the hours of 9pm and 7am previously which "is prima facie evidence of a violation of this section." The car lot has previously acknowledged to the City that this is their phone ringing. I simply want to be afforded the quiet enjoyment of my home and my property free from this incessant noise violation. I am roughly 2,000 feet from this car lot. I also know this is heard on the golf course at the Country Club, more than 3,000 feet from the car lot. The City is allowing one perpetrator to cast a very wide net of annoyance to local residents through a repeated noise violation. Please help those of us on the south side by putting an end to this violation of City ordinances. Thank you. Best, Nick

Handicap parking being used by vehicles that do not have parking permits. How about having an online way to report villagers since community office won't tow the vehicles.

My boyfriend and I went downtown to visit the vape shop and eat Tacobell. He has an artificial leg and is unable to walk long distances. There was no street parking available, so we parked at Taco Bell and just walked to the vape shop. After all we planned on eating dinner there and it wasn't a long trip for his leg. Less than 20 minutes later as we are walking back to taco bell and we notice our car being towed. The car was still in the lot when we stopped the driver. He charged us $85 cash and would have charged $220 if we could only pay by card because he would have had to take it all the way to the tow yard. All of this because a handicap man wanted to visit the vape store before dinner. The car was clearly marked as a handicapped vehicle. There needs to either be allowances made for those who are disabled or more handicap street parking available.

I made contact last week about a car that was parked illegally in front of my house at which time it was ticketed. The problem is the car is still in the same spot, ticket still on the windshield, and I was wondering if there is anything to be done because it makes it very difficult to use the access road that runs along my house.

I have contacted the city both by phone and this website to find out why contracted construction crews have no liability for damaging a resident's vehicle while they are operating. No one from the city will give me a straight answer. The damage occurred September 15th while a contracted construction crew tore out curb corners at the intersection of West Third and Buckner Streets. It is my first new car and I had just made my first payment. The street was not closed and the crew blocked all of Third Street while demolishing the curb, making the street impassable. On the phone I was asked if I could prove the construction crew did the damage. I was home the entire day of the incident and saw the damage as soon as I stepped outside. I was told someone from the city's risk assessment department would be in touch. No one ever called. No reply to my messages to this website either. What is my recourse in this? Why is there no reply to a very reasonable question? Why are construction crews able to completely block streets without closing them? I am making a copy of this correspondence for my attorney. Sincerely, Paul Walters
