The storm drain at S Olive and E Hillside needs maintenance. It is located at the bottom of a hill and gravel driveways uphill have gravel running down the street in heavy rains. There is so much gravel built up that weeds are growing around the stop sign and around the drain. Now, during a heavy rain, water cannot get to the drain and backs up into our driveway and gets close to the garage. This has consistently been an issue for years. Please remove the gravel and help us with a solution to keep this area clean.

Several weeks ago the new fiber cables were buried along E Hillside Dr. I was working from home when one of the workers knocked on the door and asked if I had water. I did, and so did the neighbors. The worker said he ran into water, but if we all had service, then he wasn’t going to worry about it. I didn’t think anything of it. Now, we have noticed there is water coming up out of a spot along the sidewalk. I realize the picture is not really telling you much, but it’s like a small mud pit and water is coming up out the ground there. This is within the 10’ strip that the City of Bloomington owns along this section of Hillside.

The storm sewer grate at the end of Olive St where it intersects with Hillside Dr is installed so that the holes are parallel to the direction of travel, and thus bicycle wheels can fall into them. Best practices for safe infrastructure should install them facing the other direction.

About a week after the taste and smell of tap water became like dirt, very organic, I began having loose stool. Last night I bought gallons of water from Kroger because the issue has only gotten worse. Hello! There is a non-power line dangling from the lines in front of my house. I called the power company and they came out and said it was a communications line. It isn't my internet so I am unsure as to who to call. I feel it is a danger because it could be in contact with power lines. Thank you for your help!

The yard hasn't been mowed since last fall and is very overgrown with poison ivy, invasive wintercreeper vines and other weeds that are spilling over into my property.

Location 1008 E Thornton Dr.; Public safety/ traffic/ residential parking issue: Large amount of shoulder stone has eroded away due to to water run off from the street. Creating a large rut and beginning to undermine the edge of the steets pavement. (avg. 50'x1'x1') with the stone being washed towards Henderson St. then into the storm sewer system. This issue has been reported on multiple occasions over the last year by multiple residents.
