To whom it may concern, The following describes multiple code violations from Chandler Automotive that I noticed/experienced during the process of retrieving my towed car from their site. I have video/audio evidence of the violations, and I would prefer if someone reached out to me so I can submit these as proof. It will only allow me to upload images through this submission form. Thank you: BMC 4.32.140(b): Called the number at around 5:30pm to ask to retrieve car, employee stated that she will not be able to get my car until about 9:30/10pm. This is in violation of part 1 of section B, as well as violation of part 2 of section B, since this was well outside the sixty minutes. I recorded the phone call where the employee told me 10pm. Please reach out if you would like this evidence. BMC 4.32.140(f): The invoice, see attached, is not itemized correctly pursuant to the requirements of I.C. 24-14-5-1. The invoice is missing/incorrectly accounted for the following: - I.C. 24-14-5-1(4)(D) - No VIN number. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(4)(C) - No year. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(5) - License plate # is incorrect. - I.C. 24-14-5-1(C) - No explanation is given for the additional charges incurred, which is required here. BMC 4.32.130(a)(2) - The company attempted to charge me $185 for the tow. One $25 charge being a go jack fee, and the other being a dollies fee. Since a go jack fee is a special fee, the total for those should not be $50 according to the code, but a maximum of $25. They corrected this upon me providing them a copy of the code. However, I have audio recording of them attempting to charge me that amount, and being unable to explain these additional charges. BMC 4.32.120(a) - As stated above, the towing company failed to comply with applicable state law in the invoice. BMC 4.32.120(e) - The vehicle was not able to be claimed upon calling at 5:30pm on 4/18/2024. Please reach out for a copy of the evidence as I am not able to upload it here. These laws were created by the legislature with the intention to be construed strictly due to the stated purpose of this chapter being to protect the public from unconscionable practices (BMC 4.32.010). Please reach out to me if you have any additional questions. I plan on following up in fourteen (14) days if I have not heard back from the city on this matter by that time. I was towed out of my IU dorm (I have a parking permit, I was simply outside the allowed hours to park in that specific spot) and I’m not exactly contesting the tow, which was non-consensual by the way, but the fact that I am being charged well over $200 for fees for the tow them housing the car for mere hours. I read the city law and it says something along the lines of I shouldn’t be charged greater than $135 for a tow, so im a bit confused here where the extra hundred dollars or so is coming from. I also spoke with some city of Bloomington parking officials and the company that towed me, Wray automotive, doesn’t have a license apparently, so I’m not sure what’s up with that. She told me to file this u report. Please get back to me when you can, thank you!

To the east of Somersbe, people are camping in an area owned by the railroad, city, & county so nobody is taking responsibility. Trash (see pic), car has been removed, trash remains, human waste, dog waste, unleashed dogs, & fires. March 6, 2024, I was chased on the trail by an unstable person from the camping area, screaming “I’m going to get you.” I had to RUN & hide at a residence/business and they helped me. I now carry pepper spray. Who do we appeal to for help? This is an unsafe situation for the people camping as well as the neighbors, and toxic to our environment. Thank you

It is almost 10pm on Monday, April 15, and there is a dog barking nonstop back in the woods it sounds like by the Rail Trail. 20+ minutes of barking easily tonight alone. It is dark and I am not going to find out where it is exactly. This dog barks quite a bit at nights and believe it is coming from the homeless camps back there east of the Rail Trail. I have seen dogs back there in the daylight. Is there anyway to get this looked into so that there are not dogs in the woods at these illegal camps barking at night? There are noise ordinances, and ordinances against camping on City property, and these camps are a nuisance. Get them removed.

My neighbor keeps tying his dog up on the front stoop and leaving him there. The problem is the dog can’t really move. He’s stuck on the stoop on maybe a 2-3 feet long tie up (at most) and he can’t run around or do anything but bark at the door to be let in. It’s beyond sad. He just got the dog recently so I’m thinking maybe he just needs to be educated.

A large homeless camp has been made in the past 24 hours. There are at least 10 people and a large dog. They also have been having fires. The area is at the end of Pinewood Drive on the opposite side of Clear Creek. This is a parkland where volunteers are currently working on the removal of trash and invasive plant species.

3 issues 1. Drainage at 820 w rosewood gets clogged constantly. 6 neighbors assist in removing debris Was informed the city “should “ take care of this. It isn’t. 2 when fiber came in and ATT no longer need the piller type boxes in yards. They are sitting abandoned in yards can the city require them to be removed? They should be since no longer needed. 3. I had spent about 50$ for grass seed and topsoil when I removed shrubs. With the laying of fiber this was dug up and this area is a mess.

I've sent a few uReports about the service not working on my iPhone 14 (the request never fully processes - I never get the "thank you - here's your ticket number". So, I've taken to submitting uReports from my laptop (MacBook Pro, Catalina OS, version 10.15.7, using Chrome Browser) and found additional usability issues. For example, when I click on "find me" within a uReport request, the resulting map takes up the rest of the screen, and will not allow me to scroll down to the "general information" section or to submit the request! To do so, I had to minimize the View Zoom. This is true in both Chrome and Safari. I know there are plans to replace uReport. I'm definitely interested in being part of a resident testing group whenever there is a new system and/or upgrades to this one.
