1115 Miller Drive: several cars parked on the grass regularly
"Test Electronics Up To $20 Hour" sign in the grass on Pete Ellis and E 3rd, at McDonald's.
Pink and white 'Huge Kids Sale Oct. 14-16' sign in the grass near the former car wash near Kroger, on S. College, across from the Gates Insurance Inc office (532 S College).
As soon as the 'Domino's Hiring' sign at the corner of Woodscest and E Second was removed, a new sign appeared at the opposite corner: Woodscrest and E Second, at the Army Reserve Center Corner. Also, a similar Domino's Hiring sign has appeared at the cornor of E Second and High Street, right next to the junction box and ECC preschool sign. When you are there, you may want to check if all ECC Preschool signs are still all outside the ROW, they have been moving them around lately.
4209 e Morningside Drive. Smart car on grass being parked in front lawn
"Benchmark Foster parents Needed" sign in the grass, according to the Elevate map in the ROW, on E Third Street, at the entrance to First United Church (=2420 E Third). INDOT tells me that this is in the City of Bloomington's jurisdiction.
Is the city or county responsible for enforcing the speed limit that people travel on Kinser Pike between the stop sign at BHSN and the I-69 overpass? People routinely drive 40-60 MPH, especially on the straight sections even though the hills prevent them from seeing a pedestrian or bicyclist. The posted speed limit is 30 MPH. Can something not be done to slow them down? I am starting with this question to the city because the city clears the street so I thought the speed limit might be under city responsibility also. It is horribly dangerous to attempt walking on the road and there are no sidewalks between Acuff Rd and I-69. Can one of the units that tracks people's speed be set up to monitor and notify people that they are driving over the speed limit? One white sporty car drives so fast through the Bayles Rd T straight away that it is an unidentifiable white blur.
Thanks for RayeAnn’s reply. I understand the street regulation completely, so do my neighbor. That is why he’s using this regulation to do illegal things. By legally park close to my property, he just walk over to take my mail without permission, sit in his pickup truck staking on me, threatening me. Any legal action for me to take to against this harassment caused by legal parking on public street?
I did, police’s reply is “it’s legal for him to park on the public street”. There’s nothing they can do, unless the regulation changes, most likely not in my lifetime. Thanks anyway, I guess I can only wish this guy will behave himself when he gets older.
