I tripped on this manhole cover and am worried that someone else may do the same. Is there anything that can be done to mitigate a potential future issue?

Small (~7" diameter) metal access cover (valve down there?) labeled "Water" in the middle of 10th street on the east side of the intersection with Dunn is damaged, completely missing the central portion of the lid and creating a hazard if someone steps in it or a small animal falls in. There is also another one with nearly an identical problem (or completely missing) about 50 feet west at the intersection of 10th and a funny little road named "Prow".

Last week there was a water main issue on N Kinser Pike very close to the entrance of Upper Cascades Park. There is a deep cut made in the pavement as you are driving N that will make you get new tires and an alignment. The signage is good but that doesn't go far enough. THE HOLE NEEDS ABOUT 4 INCHES OF FILLER AND SMOOTHED. THANKS. I'd say we could bury some evidence in it..but I'm not sure that's a good idea. Because I live next to Cascades Golf Course and many, many people drive that portion of Kinser Pike please HURRY UP..

I don't have a current photo but particularly since the utility work completed on this stretch of road the parking spots in front of the shops flood and hold water. The gradient actually seems to slope away from the drain instead of towards. As a result, we frequently have to bail out the parking spots to make them usable for customers. Flooding issues include the accessible parking spot, which poses a risk to the mobility impaired. How can we best collaborate on a solution? Thanks!

called into city hall - K.Cummings, AHA inputting this issue -- John stated that he has called several times regarding this issue - there are two storm drains, one directly in front of his residence and another that is across the street that are in need of repair. John advised that the grates are too low, causing them to consistently get debris on them, causing flooding.

Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. For years there has been a strong sewer smell in the this area. (I have paid for plumbers to examine my house and the problem is not in the house.) As the cable workers have been laying the cable, I asked various if they also smelled the sewer odor and if they knew where it might be coming from. There were three basic answers: (1) A "lift station" in one of the drains may be faulty; (2) the terrain where sewage may back up at the crest of the hill; and (3) the manhole cover between houses at 909 West Gourley Pike is old and may be corroded so that the sewer gas is able to escape.

Complex, long-standing problem: water pools and has nowhere to drain to on Woodlawn just north of 12th Street and up against the south side of the RR tracks. This isn't such an issue when the temperature is reasonable, but when it freezes it poses a sliding risk when the train is approaching. Major accident just waiting to happen.
