Guest came into WonderLab having found sharps on the trail near the janeway statue. There are piles of abandoned belongings around the side entrance to our WonderGarden on the trail. This is a safety issue for our guests and staff.
The dog water fountain has not been working for many weeks.
Needs a "not a through street" sign
This light turns red for the major thoroughfare (Patterson) almost every time I travel that road, despite the fact that there are NO cars coming from the other direction (Adams). I can't understand a light dedicated solely to a school and college apartments to the detriment of the main through traffic, especially when no one is sitting at the light. It needs to have road sensors, not be set to a timer.
Poor/horrible visibility at the intersection of 4th and Jackson streets. If you are traveling on Jackson and needing to turn on 4th or cross 4th - you have to pull 1/2 way into the road to see around parked cars. I've witnessed several near accidents. Recommending a 4 way stop at this intersection.
Abandoned vehicle for more than 2 weeks. Gray truck parked on the street. Doesn't belong to the neighbors. Has been here long enough to have spider webs on it now.
Caller reported that stop signs at the corner of 3rd and Maple (traveling west on 3rd) are blocked by trees.
West 3rd Street from S Rogers to Patterson is a narrow residential street. Lots of trucks use this street. W 3rd. St. is designated “neighborhood residential street” in the Bloomington Transportation Plan which means “low speed and low volume”. There is a sign east of Rogers on 3rd. that says “No through trucks on 3rd St” but it is old and very faded. New sign needed. Also it might be effective to have a sign at Jackson and 3rd also. There is a sign advertising an AirBnB rental attached to a tree on the property at 813 Kirkwood Ave. The tree is one of two on either side of the alley next to the property, and is located on the berm between the street and the sidewalk, and so appears to be in the city's Right of Way. As far as I understand it, this signage is in violation of the Bloomington Municipal Code, Title 12 (Streets, Sidewalks, and Storm Drains), Chapter 24.080 (Trees and Flora), Ord. 08-06 § 2 (part), 2008) - Prohibited actions, which states "(2) No person shall do any of the following to trees subject to these provisions: (b) Attach any wires, nails, chains, cables, advertising posters or any other contrivance" I would appreciate it if the city removed this sign and prevented such actions by the landlord in the future.
