Subject: Notice and constructive feedback regarding trash collection at the stated address
I am writing to report a recent sanitation issue and to constructively suggest a structural change to prevent future occurrences.
On 6/17/2026, responsible parties at the stated address did not follow collection guidelines and piled extra bags on top of their full bins. During pickup, the collection crew left one of these excess bags on the ground. Because the bag remained on the curb overnight, local wildlife tore it open. This scattered rotting food waste is now creating a possible health hazard and a severe mess for the neighborhood. Additionally, bins on the street remain at the curb more than 24 hours after collection.
To ensure our neighborhood stays clean and safe, I would like to suggest two updates to current practices:
* Enforce a strict "Tag and Leave" policy: Instead of leaving a loose bag on the ground where animals can access it, crews could leave the bag inside the bin with an educational warning tag.
* Issue reminders for bin removal: Send a neighborhood-wide notice regarding the local ordinance that requires bins to be stored away within 24 hours of collection.
*Have a means to take the extra bags and charge extra for the service.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

We would like to request a welfare check for a dog that has been barking incessantly and disturbing the peace of at least ten homes in the neighborhood for years, with the problem getting worse in recent weeks. Some occupants have lately vacated the property, and the dog seems to be increasingly neglected. At least two dogs have been observed on the property, with one dog that barks for hours on end. The dog(s) is frequently left out in the freezing cold, in extreme heat and humidity, and during thunderstorms, intensifying the poor creature’s anguish and barking. Most nights, the dog barks for hours, and on June 15, the dog barked throughout the day, then constantly from 6 p.m. until well beyond 2 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. Please investigate this unfortunate situation. We are at our wit’s end with the continual barking and are extremely concerned about the dog’s well-being, as it is clearly in distress.

I have been hiking the South Shore Trail at Griffy lately and I have become lost more than once. I appreciate the maps on posts, but they are missing a crucial element: a red dot showing where on the map one is. Signs pointing to certain trails would also be helpful. The most confusing place is where the Meadow Wood trails and Griffy loop trail is.

Does the Parking Department limit how many parking passes in total are issued in a given area? Meaning, do they take into account the *actual* number of parking spots available on the streets? This is becoming an issue because of all the buildings that are going up that have either limited or no on-site parking, and the streets are already full of cars. Where is everybody going to park if there is no limit on the number of parking passes issued?

Not sure which category this belongs under. Lots of gravel at the intersection of Grant and 11th Streets. Makes it difficult for bicycles to navigate across. Likely washed down 11th from the messy demolition site to the west.

Since Rogers St. is closed between 3rd and 2nd St. please consider closing the left turn lane approaching the intersection the 3rd and Rogers St. from the east. Drivers of vehicles are uncertain how to safely proceed when cars are in all three lanes since they are unable to make a left turn. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
