The storm grate on the south end of the cul-de-sac becomes obstructed by debris every time it rains. It requires my neighbor or myself to wade into storm water and clear the drain. This occurs even when the drain is completely clear prior to the rain and it happens very rapidly. The water then floods the cul-de-sac, sidewalks and backs up into our driveways. I'm not certain what the options are but if there is a different style of grate, it is definitely warranted at this location. Thank you.
Drainage or Runoff
3505 S Westminster WAY

There is a longstanding and ongoing drainage issue affecting the area in front of 3504 and 3505 S Westminster Way in Bloomington, IN. Every time it rains, significant flooding occurs on our street, making it unsafe for residents to leave their homes and hazardous for vehicles attempting to pass through the area. On previous occasions we cad cases of drivers have become stranded in the large pool of water that forms directly in front of these properties.
This persistent flooding presents a serious public safety concern for both residents and motorists. In addition, we are living with the constant fear that continued inadequate drainage may eventually result in flooding damage to our properties. Despite the recurring nature of this problem, the existing street drains have not been properly cleared or improved, and additional drainage infrastructure appears necessary to address the issue effectively.
We respectfully request that the City take immediate action to investigate and resolve this matter as soon as possible.

I am addressing a sink hole on my property related to storm water erosion. On my property (Lot 5) and neighbor’s (Lot 6) property there is an easement by the city for storm water storm drainage.
Is there any assistance you can provide to me regarding the filling of the sink hole and/ or ensuring that proper drainage is occurring at your easement?

Storm water drainage from the road runs out here and is constantly eroding the dirt on my property. The drain route needs to be deeper or angled more and more rocks need to be added so water doesn’t accumulate and drains well without eroding the dirt along the route.

The lid on my trash bin is slightly bent. I can get it to close, but after the trash is picked up, it won't close completely. If it is raining, the bin fills with water. Can someone fix this? Thank you!
Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

The toilet in our half bathroom gurgled, churned, and spewed water for a solid 20 seconds, to where the water came up and out of the toilet and there was a strong smell of sewage. We have had root issues in the past but we saw a turck in the neighborhood and maybe it is a mainline pipe issue? In any case, we'd prefer someone knows that this impacted our house.

The manhole in our street segment at 3509 E. Dunstan Drive gets clogged again because of tree leaves, which caused the water from the city sewage to go back to our home. This issue happens every year, and I'd like to report it to the City now so the City can come over and check.
Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

Workers grinding the sidewalk are generating significant clouds of silica dust. Silica-generating grinding operations are supposed to be controlled by water or vacuum. The vacuum systems they are using are clearly ineffective. This is clear if you watch them work, it's also clear if you examine a recently ground section of sidewalk. Significant concrete dust remains on the sidewalk surface because the vacuum isn't picking it up. The city is substituting a respiratory hazard for a trip hazard. I don't want to get these guys in trouble, but would appreciate if the city would ensure they're using water or effective vacuum controls.
