The drainage easement at the south end of Greenwood Dr., where it dead ends into the sidewalk, is blocked with a landslide of debris. The water level rose to 3 feet on either side of the sidewalk and covered three properties adjacent to the clogged drain with water and debris. Thank you for your help. Jim and Debbie Quinn
Utility crews cut into the road to install new water connection/meter. The patch of gravel they left behind was hastily and poorly covered with a thin layer of asphalt and is still filled with loose gravel. Cars are flinging gravel all over the street and the whole is getting larger by the day. Please address this soon, as it was a direct result of the city's actions and the poor work of city employees.
In January 2023, while an optic cable was being installed on our street, the company called Vertical Underground LLC, which we were informed was contracted by the City of Bloomington to do the job, broke our sewer line (along with the lines of many others of our neighbors). We complained to one of Vertical Underground's managers who was working on fixing our neighbor's line, and he informed us that they would fix the problem and that we didn't need to worry. In order to do the repair, they had to break through our concrete driveway to repair the damage and re-pour the damaged section of the driveway. The problem seemed to be fixed for a few months, however, these past weeks, we have been experiencing the same issues that initially led us to the discovery of the damage they caused. That is, our drains are not draining, toilets are not draining and water is returning through the shower drain. We would like to request that CBU send someone to inspect the situation because we believe that the problem was not fixed properly. Thank you.
Behind my home in Winslow Woods is a culvert that the city never maintains. It is now flooding with water and the water is creeping up towards all our homes on Azalea Lane.

Due to the storm on Friday night we have a lot of run off rock and old concrete from the ditches above our house on Ruby and Covenanter. Since we are the last house where the ditches turn, we get all of the debris. Can someone from the city please come and clean up our ditch (with the truck that sucks up rocks, etc.)along Ruby and Covenanter? Our front lawn grass is full of rock and mud from the flow of water on Friday night. The low area of this block (1100 South between Washington and Lincoln) is in the old alley and is first flooded by the overflowing ditch along Davis Street and then water continues to flow up from damage pipe clean outs even when water in the ditch has lowered. The water peaked at about 1 foot higher than shown in the attached picture. There is a storm sewer manhole behind this garage, but no inlets are nearby. Is sanitary sewer infiltration to blame for this? Would fixing the clean outs lead to backups inside homes?
Hi, We know that this property has a new owner and was purchased earlier this year. Due to the storms on Friday night of last week...there is a lot of debris blocking the ditch and culvert. We are expecting rain again tomorrow and this weekend. Can the city contact the new owners to come and clean up their culvert and ditch along High street before the impending rains this weekend? This affects the whole neighborhood and will cause backups of water. Thank you.
4400 S Calloway ct. 47401 Cory Blackwell We have a water leak at our main in our yard. Our normal bill is around 40 dollars and our last one was over 160 dollars. This has happened once before about 2 years ago. The city came out and looked at it saying that it was on there end and they kindly fixed it for us... i think we have the same issue again. I live at 1202 E. Elliston Drive (green house pictured). Elliston Dr, at the northwest corner of our lot, pools with a large volume of storm water after even a little rainfall, and it does not drain we have to wait for it to evaporate. I know it's probably an undertaking but is there any way the city can fix this? Overall the corner is a high elevation but there's a shallow pool there as you can see, and no storm drain. Could a storm line be ran down to another location so it can drain away and stop causing problems with the curb basically eroding away?
