We have city built ditches/basin along the streets for rainwater drainage in the area. I recently noticed there is a big hole in the middle of the ditch, lots of the water goes into that hole when it rains, looks like it keeps getting worse. Can you send someone to take a look, and get the hole patched please? The drainage easement at the south end of Greenwood Dr., where it dead ends into the sidewalk, is blocked with a landslide of debris. The water level rose to 3 feet on either side of the sidewalk and covered three properties adjacent to the clogged drain with water and debris. Thank you for your help. Jim and Debbie Quinn

Utility crews cut into the road to install new water connection/meter. The patch of gravel they left behind was hastily and poorly covered with a thin layer of asphalt and is still filled with loose gravel. Cars are flinging gravel all over the street and the whole is getting larger by the day. Please address this soon, as it was a direct result of the city's actions and the poor work of city employees.

In January 2023, while an optic cable was being installed on our street, the company called Vertical Underground LLC, which we were informed was contracted by the City of Bloomington to do the job, broke our sewer line (along with the lines of many others of our neighbors). We complained to one of Vertical Underground's managers who was working on fixing our neighbor's line, and he informed us that they would fix the problem and that we didn't need to worry. In order to do the repair, they had to break through our concrete driveway to repair the damage and re-pour the damaged section of the driveway. The problem seemed to be fixed for a few months, however, these past weeks, we have been experiencing the same issues that initially led us to the discovery of the damage they caused. That is, our drains are not draining, toilets are not draining and water is returning through the shower drain. We would like to request that CBU send someone to inspect the situation because we believe that the problem was not fixed properly. Thank you.

Behind my home in Winslow Woods is a culvert that the city never maintains. It is now flooding with water and the water is creeping up towards all our homes on Azalea Lane.

There is water seeping out of the ground and onto the pavement on the east side of Oak Street, the alley that runs between 5th & 6th Streets. On the other side of Oak is a fire hydrant. I suspect the pipe is leaking.

We have cleaned the tops of the grates in front of our building but can not clean the culvert in the ditch, which is clogged with debris. We also have one grate that has erosion barrier under the grate which won't allow water to pass through as it is packed with mud. We were flooded in 2008. We were within a foot of it entering our building early last Saturday morning. Please send someone to address this issue before Friday. We can not survive another flood.
