Our neighborhood has reported this resident multiple times and the city has done absolutely nothing to correct the issues on this property. This property is a literal junk yard, and when I say literal, I mean this without any exaggeration. It is littered with trash, abandoned vehicles, broken appliances scattering the entire yard. My kids go outside to play and are bombarded with mosquitoes that live in the water-logged abandoned junk all over the property. Can someone from the city please address this since the other departments are not addressing it?

Overgrown bamboo at 1002 W 6 St and Elm bending into sidewalks and street obstructing traffic. Bird droppings covering the sidewalk. The invasive plant has encroached on neighboring property where we live at 1004, so we are having to engage removal services and eventually install impermeable barriers at our expense. The back yard of 1002 is overgrown also, feral cats, possum and a skunk have been sited or smelled in a fallen shed which has not been cleared out. The Elm Street side of 1002 is full of debris and overgrowth and there is an unattended stagnant water feature where we hear frogs in the summer (which do attract copperhead snakes). Someone does seem to be inhabiting the house, though we know that the owner of the house does not reside in Indiana presently.

Yard waste, claims "poison" being poured on the area where excessive growth. Concerned about "poison" getting into other yards, being near children and the safety of the water supply.

Please review condition of growth in front yard. The amount of over growth and lack of drainage is causing critters to find homes and standing water issues for mosquitoes.

Lots of excessive front yard and back yard growth. The back yard also contains a myriad of trash items such as old toilets which have been collecting water. My pest control company says mosquitoes won't get better here until something is done over there.

There is an extension cord with lights being run across an alley to provide light to this illegally parked vagrant that is living in this RV. The extension cord is ran across the alley behind 1207 w cottage grove avenue. This is a fire hazard , a trip hazard and unsafe. I’m not sure what this vagrant is doing with his sewer and water. The alley runs west to east between Summit Street and Alexander Street and Cottage Grove and wedt 10th street. Thank you.

Subject: Re: uReport Case #162510 - 3433_E._Third_St._property_needs_owner_attention Mike Arnold -- An update from a coupe weeks past on this address, I have been been busy or else would have sent a message sooner. 2/10/18: I reported to Bloomington Police the north, back of house, doors open. Lower door wide open, upper door open but storm door closed. Officers (six) arrived and cleared the house, Windows are still unlocked and storm windows may be opened as they are not closed in place on nearly all windows. Please make contact with the owner and request that they close all windows and check the two doors so they may be closed and locked. I have mentioned to you in the past, on the lower door, stone wall has fallen and mud prevents storm door to close. This needs attention. Please be more aggressive in your home owner contact. Monitoring this house and follow up on securing the house is now using Police time and resources. Plus my time and others neighbors concern that the house is being entered by homeless and others trespassers. It appears a mess inside and needs attention. If you cannot get results on this homeowner's negligence, see history back to 2004 where the city has sited issues, I will follow up with the Mayor and City legal. This needs to be solved to hold the homeowner accountable for action before something bad happens; house fire, frozen water pipes, trespassers cause issues. If you can, please tell me who the homeowner is and their contact information. I am willing to contact them to discuss issues (as the Neighborhood Association representative) - plus Bloomington Police wish to make contact. Sewage keeps backing up in our bathtub - smells terrible, toilet doesnt flush when this happens and cant be used. Standing water on the floor/carpet. These issues keep happening and the apartment complex says that they fix it and then it happens again. This time maintenance said it is an airconditioning unit. I can explain more if you can call me.
