Homeless man and friends congregating in the building and trades park - upper shelter house. Drinking most days of the week. I Have witnessed them drinking a case of bud lite as well as pouring a handle of liquor into their water bottles. This would not normally bother me, however I am a homeowner in the near vicinity. I have witnessed a decline in the amount of people bringing their kids to the park due to this increase in the homeless population as well as their increase in how comfortable they (I.e. Dogs off leash, air mattress, sleeping bags, etc). I have recently done a lot of work to my house and am worried that this activity in this park will affect my property value. I would appreciate if there was some way to address this homeless population in my neighborhood park. If there could be more patrols by the park at random times throughout the day as well as at at night (they sleep under the shelter house as well) I feel that it may help stop some of this activity. As a young female; I am hesitant to contact the police at each one of these instances for fear of retaliation/they know where I live/may know it's me calling.

I submitted this issue already as a sanitation issue, but I was told that it is P&R's responsibility. So hopefully it will get routed to the right person this time. There is a drainage channel at the edge of Butler Park near 10th and Fairview that is clogged with stones and sediment from recent flooding events. It needs to be dug out to allow water to drain and avoid breeding mosquitoes. Location is halfway between Fairview and the path connecting Butler Park to the B line.

Hello, I wanted to inform the city about a standing and stagnant water issue in the northeast corner of Bryan Park - next to the tennis courts on the path there is a water fountain and in ground water meter that always has standing water and mosquitoes breeding in it. I've uploaded a picture and this was after 5 or 6 days of no rain. Addressing the issue will help reduce mosquitoes and the chance of illness in the area. Thank you.

Switchyard Park is wonderful! Kudos to Parks & Rec. Two suggestions: 1 - Please install umbrella holders (or umbrella holders + umbrellas, but I recognize there could be more of a theft issue)at the wooden 'bleachers' at the pickle ball courts. 2) For both dog parks at Switchyard, erect shaded areas perhaps similar to the Ferguson dog park. Suggest two or three areas per dog enclosure. This could be esp. crucial for helping maintaining dog health during summer months. Also, install water hoses to clean dirt from paws + coat when play is over. Thank you for considering!

During rain, the surrounding mud and grime around the skatepark at the new Switchyard park drains into the park itself since there is no finished edgings. I don't know what sort of timeline the construction crews have on getting to this, but I just wanted to point out how bad it gets. Some friends had to get wet and dirty in order to unclog one of the drains and get the water out from the park. We had to get our own brooms out to clean this up later on after it had dried. I understand it's cold season and there may not be anything to be done, but I feel like it needs pointed out. The skatepark itself is wonderful, but the work around it has been poorly taken care of. Oclott Park walk path, where it offshoots to Jackson Creek Middle School. There is a constant trickle of water that streams across the path and down the offshoot. On cold days it forms a treacherous layer of ice. Very difficult to cross that area when walking around the park and extremely dangerous for students walking to JCMS. Not sure if it's a natural spring or if the Olcott Building is leaking, but water needs to be diverted from running across the walking path. Someone is going to get hurt.
