Someone needs to fix this before the street collapses. The utilities company says there’s a stream under ground that is bubbling to the surface. Additional background: there was a water main break about 6-10 feet from this location about 6 months ago and there was no indication there was a river running underground.
Large pothole always filled with water on Hunter Ave between Jordan and Swain. This block needs to be repaved because of numerous repairs and downhill water erosion

I’m at the SE corner of Maxwell and Sheridan. There appears to be water pooling on east side of Sheridan near the western entrance to my driveway. I noticed ice here a few times last winter but thought it was just frozen road runoff and it wasn’t super cold last year so ice build-up wasn’t significant. But it’s been well below freezing and there shouldn’t be standing water. I didn’t observe anything like this in the spring, summer or fall. I assume there’s a small water line leak underground, perhaps underneath the road. The road is cracked along the edge so there may be some freeze/thaw going on. It doesn’t seem to be an emergency — the flow seems pretty minimal but it does generate some ice south of the wet area when below freezing. I wanted to report this now that I realize what is going on. I placed a stake with orange flagging tape in the area where it seems like water is coming to the surface. Thanks for looking into this. In December 2017 our water supply line to the house from the street was replaced. About two weeks ago, we started noticing black material coming out of the tap that supplies our bathtub. Then our kitchen sink water pressure started to decline; I opened up the faucet nozzle and found similar particles. The problem with the tub water has persisted now for some weeks and I'm concerned for our health.
Hello, I paid my final water bill for the property I was renting last school year at 1514 E Maxwell Lane, Bloomington, IN, 47401. The company I rented through (Costley and Co) requires me to get a statement from you saying the water bill has been paid in full. The neighbors in shadow creek would like to see the city be more proactive in persuading the owner of this building lot to keep the grass mowed and remove the invasive trees that have grown out of the ponding water. The ponding happens after each rain and is a health issue for the residents, and a safety issue for kids on this street. This lot has looked like this for years as the 2 doctor investors that owned it previously were not inclined or forced to maintain it or properly fill it in. Anything you can do to help protect our property values by threatening fines and actions against the owner would be much appreciated. thank you, shadow creek residents.
