The neighbor has a broken pool in the side yard. It has some dirty water in it and is leaning on one side.It's been this way for the last 2 months. when asked they said it would get removed , but so far is still there.
The neighbors in shadow creek would like to see the city be more proactive in persuading the owner of this building lot to keep the grass mowed and remove the invasive trees that have grown out of the ponding water. The ponding happens after each rain and is a health issue for the residents, and a safety issue for kids on this street. This lot has looked like this for years as the 2 doctor investors that owned it previously were not inclined or forced to maintain it or properly fill it in. Anything you can do to help protect our property values by threatening fines and actions against the owner would be much appreciated. thank you, shadow creek residents.
What is going on here? A half-deconstructed building that is a danger to all who seek shelter on this property and a general eyesore. Are you aware that the 8’ basement is nearly full of water. Not a very safe place to bathe…I believe the city planning department (or the city in conjunction with the county) has the ability to condemn this structure and cause the cleanup of this site. We are in parkview apartments at 1700 N Walnut Street. There is no hot water since about 10 days. There is no heating since a week. And from two days, there is not even water. We called and contacted the property management many times, and each they say that the issue will fixed within a day or two. They have broken boilers as shown in the pictures and they are not putting appropriate effort to fix them, or even better, replace them with new ones since they are very old. Yesterday they tried to fix them and all apartments in the building ended up with no water at all. We need immediate action from your side to get the management working on these issues. The apartments are managed by varsity properties in Bloomington Indiana
I live near this residence and it is becoming a major problem with yard waste trash. IT IS LITERALLY THE MOST TRASH-RIDDEN PROPERTY IN BLOOMINGTON. This is by far, the worst propert in Bloomington. I've asked multiple times for the city to help, and nobody has done anything. The front and back yards are littered with trash, and junk that he keeps piling up on the property, never attempting to clean up, or remove anything but continuously accumulating more trash. The appliances and items scattered all over the property are filling with water and becoming a breeding ground for mosquitos which when mowing my yard, I'm attacked by swarms of them. This property is becoming a major eye-sore and pain for us on this street. I have asked this person nicely multiple times if they could get this stuff under control, but they refuse. Someone please help us. He seems to believe he lives "In the County" and not the "city" allowing him to live like this. This trash is affected all other residents around him.
Our neighborhood has reported this resident multiple times and the city has done absolutely nothing to correct the issues on this property. This property is a literal junk yard, and when I say literal, I mean this without any exaggeration. It is littered with trash, abandoned vehicles, broken appliances scattering the entire yard. My kids go outside to play and are bombarded with mosquitoes that live in the water-logged abandoned junk all over the property. Can someone from the city please address this since the other departments are not addressing it?
Unsafe structure with health concerns (standing water, appliances, trash, weeds, open structure).
Caller has phoned 3x about the yard and structure at 207 S. Meadowbrook. There is an uncovered pool with old water attracting bugs. Trash everywhere. The structure is unsafe. Rodents are now in the callers yard at 3709 E. 3rd. I explained to the caller that the inspector could not see the problem from the road. She asked that the inspector look through her yard.

Water from the basement is being pumped into the alley, creating a huge puddle which will freeze, and is flooding adjacent properties. this property has recently changed hands and new owner has returned the sump pump discharge to a place we have made previous owner remove it from. Planning dept. has requirements for parking spaces which must be met in the near future, complainant wants compliance officer to be aware of these requirements and monitor them also.
