The street between 1709 Circle Dr and 1805 E Southdowns Dr (next house to the east) has been constantly wet for approximately 2-3 months. Water is evident on the street and in the yard immediately surrounding it to the point that there's always a pool of water 2-3 feet from the curb.
We had a storm water drain added a few years back (THANKS- we really appreciate the added drain) - The issue is that the drain causes accumulation of standing water at the base of the drain. We have had an abundance of mosquitos the last few years - & last year Trudy contacted meningitis - so we want to be careful and mitigate any risk! Is there a way the drain basin could be have aggregate (stone or grave) to the standing water? We appreciate your help - Kevin & Trudy Keough -
We continue to have storm water pooling in the drain in front of our house. We appreciate having the drain; would hope there would be a simple solution to mitigate the risk of pooling of storm water - in particular the risk of mosquitoes and the public health risk the bring - thanks - Kevin and Trudy Keough
I have traveled High Street between Arden Rd. and 3rd Street twice a day for the last ten years. Every time there is a heavy rain, water accumulates and flows down High Street between E. Mores Pike and 2nd St. forcing me to move to the other lane to avoid going through large amounts of water creating a very unsafe situation. I was delighted to see this section of High Street repaved last summer and noticed the sewers also being worked on. I assumed, incorrectly, that the runoff problem would be corrected during this maintenance project. Since the paving the runoff has actually gotten worse. Are there plans to fix this unsafe situation so cars can travel safely on High Street without endangering drivers and pedestrians? I regularly see in the Herald Times where is city is allocating and spending money on hiking and biking trails, sidewalks and various pedestrian conveniences. Hi, I was wondering if the trash vehicle could stop just tipping over the trash can when they empty the trash bins in SoMax area. This is the second week that the trashcan was on its side. It damages the trash can over time and this morning there was a lot of water inside of the can. Thank you.

The fiber optic guys are here AGAIN! The are digging and drilling through our property. They asked if they could take down some of our fence to do their work. They admit they are back because they did not do a good job BEFORE. Our issue - we are concerned of that these contractors will damage our property sewer and/or water lines and we will be the ones stuck to deal with the aftermath of repairs and expense of repairs. Issue 2 - We have no idea on how to communicate with these guys!! What are our RiGHTS! Can you guys help us out? We feel helpless!
For the past week, our water from the tap has tasted "fishy" and has an unpleasant odor. What is it? How long will it continue? Is there anything we can do to get rid of it or minimize it?
We have noticed that our water quality has been pretty awful the past couple of weeks. It tastes like algae/moldy and smells. We have never noticed our water quality this bad since we have lived in Bloomington the past 12 years and are concerned that there is something dangerously bad with our drinking water. Can this please be checked as we have residents who have health issues and don't need them to be aggravated due to bad water. Thank you.
Our tap water has smelled and tasted like a pond for over a week. We’ve asked friends and it’s hit or miss who is having water problems but it’s all over the city.
