My neighborhood located between Sherwood Oaks church and Jackson Creek middle school is currently undergoing placement of fiberoptic cables. I strongly prefer to not have this done in my yard. My neighbors seem to feel the same. It's already been done recently with Smithville (last year). They nearly hit a gas line in my neighbor's yard two houses over in our cul de sac. They did hit a water line in the yard across the street from us in the cul de sac. They seem to dig without much regard for our approval and preferences as homeowners. Substantial disregard for property keeps occurring with whoever is laying fiber on E. Morningside. Water main burst at 4021 E. Morningside Drive. CBU dug up my yard to do repair. Please confirm that will be fixed by CBU via spring planting season for grass, etc.? The fiber team, if you can provide me contact information for a complaint if possible, was driving their truck through my yard today again including over areas CBU dug, causing significant depressions. When called out when I went out front a few minutes ago, they asked "What damage?" before I had to point it out and they said they would fix. A truck remains driving back and forth in my front yard at present. I am tempted to call the police. They are beyond any sort of easement, which they are abusing to begin with. This is getting ridiculous.

They had a water line or sewer line emergency at 719 W 7th and contractors tore up a lot of sidewalk on the South Side of W 7th Street in front of the house. Who is responsible for repair or sidewalk? This happened Thursday night and continued all day Friday 12/15. Contractor was Snedegar Construction.

The fiber optic guys are here AGAIN! The are digging and drilling through our property. They asked if they could take down some of our fence to do their work. They admit they are back because they did not do a good job BEFORE. Our issue - we are concerned of that these contractors will damage our property sewer and/or water lines and we will be the ones stuck to deal with the aftermath of repairs and expense of repairs. Issue 2 - We have no idea on how to communicate with these guys!! What are our RiGHTS! Can you guys help us out? We feel helpless!

Location 1008 E Thornton Dr.; Public safety/ traffic/ residential parking issue: Large amount of shoulder stone has eroded away due to to water run off from the street. Creating a large rut and beginning to undermine the edge of the steets pavement. (avg. 50'x1'x1') with the stone being washed towards Henderson St. then into the storm sewer system. This issue has been reported on multiple occasions over the last year by multiple residents.

111? E. Kirkwood: Some sort of restaurant runoff (floor cleaning water?) is dumped from behind Opi Taylor's/Malibu. This goes on year round, but creates a sheet of ice in the winter (as it is today). The water runs/ices in front of an empty lot, so no one deals with the sidewalk. It's approx. 111? E. Kirkwood, just past the alley behind Book Corner, just at the start of the parking lot next to CVS. I originally reported this in 2017, I guess before it was cold. ureport#161324 and I was told it was runoff from an AC unit, which I think we can be sure is not the case in today's weather. I'm a daily walker from the near westside to campus. This is an ongoing problem. I really would like someone to just take some responsibility for either the initial liquid or the ice that results. Water struggles to get around e Morningside and n Sheffield without pooling. Any chance curb can be built up a bit there or the cement can be shaved a bit to let the water keep flowing by? Thanks!

Hey, all. I'm at 4021 E. Morningside Drive. Unfortunately I've been experiencing some drainage issues at my corner since the installation of a wheelchair ramp for the sidewalk. There was no issue prior. Terrific having the ramp for folks, plus the earlier sidewalk, but unfortunately it has no lip on it at all. As you can see in the photo, the street is essentially level with part of my yard now, allowing even the smallest rain to flood the corner. I'd love to grow grass but am having difficulties because of the situation. There was grass prior, but someone crashed into the streetlamp, and when it was replaced, the ground got torn up a bit. Beyond my yard, a small pool exists along the corner until it dries out as well, as it is unable to pass on through. Also sediment as you can see in the photo (taken tonight a few hours after the end of today's misting) is washed into the street with each rain. Please see if there can be just the smallest bit of lip and/or incline added with the ramp/sidewalk to keep the water moving instead of creating a muddy corner. Thank you for any help! (Or ideas!) Any chance you all might have a square foot of sod that is fairly water tolerant that can just be placed down there? Might solve my issue without any need for changing anything with the concrete assuming it takes root. I appreciate the consideration and help. There is also a bus stop right at the corner, so more than just helping me, it keeps the bus waiters from standing in the mud.

Neighbor has a new asphalt "ramp"to driveway blocking water runoff. I definitely understand the need for the ramp. However,could there be a way to open up a small channel through it? This photo of the standing water was taken on Sunday - 48 hours after the last rain. There was already a tendency for debris and muck to accumulate there before this. Thanks for any help.

fiber optic crews have broken out two large chunks of the new curbs installed a few years back to control water run off. I am concerned that these unseated and cracked curbs will cause further water damage that you just fixed. south of 426 e blue ridge dr. is the location and my address. I think the fiber optic people should be fixing this and not the city needing to come back to fix it again. thanks
