Illegal Dumping in Drainage Easement and Common Conservation areas in Gentry South- Course construction sand (over 100 square feet and up to 10" deep) plus tree brush and other mulched woody material, large insect ridden sawed cut logs (including 47" logs), small rock and trash items have been dumped into the drainage easement area behind my house. The area that serves to hold flood water is being filled in, invasives are taking hold where the sand is, and the large debris is damaging trees. I know the area was free from this for at least 6 years prior, even during record water flow. The first occurrence was in early April 2020 and happened again the next year during early April 2021. These dumps are sudden. It was free of more sand at the end of March. Then, a week later there was suddenly a large dump of sand again. I was quoted $4,000 to remove the first dump of sand. Additionally, someone has dumped what looks like yard mulch/waste twice in this neighborhood’s Common Area/Conservation Easement.
A landscape crew repairing the lawn area that was disturbed from an accident last week noticed a leak that was caused by the vehicle. The vehicle apparently had driven over the meter pit. The pit was filled with water, and the City of Bloomington meter was leaking. Nature’s Way staff was able to turn the water connection to that meter off. They recommended we contact COB so that they can address installing a new meter connection, or what repair is deemed necessary.
Tree limbs and overgrowth are growing into the public utility lines, along High Street. The sidewalk is unsafe, has not been cleaned, is covered in debris, yard waste, and mud. The excessive water drainage from the house, has caused a pothole in the public street (High Street), with a blacktop patch, that is unsafe, and collects water and debris. Not even level with the roadway.

Kingston Manor Apartments trash site: Pooling water an issue, Mosquito hazard present as well as unsanitary. A real eyesore with pooling water and broken fence. This apartment management needs to correct this issue that has been ongoing for years. If the trash trucks cause the pooling, then correct the pavement and repair the fence.
The guard rail at Wingslow and Hinderson is in need of repair or replacement. If someone rear ended my little Miata into that corner I'd either go under into the water or just get decapitated. Please fix this s soon.
To whom it may concern: My name is Lauren Goldman, and I am the treasurer of the IU Waterski and Wakeboard Team. Our club team was founded over 40 years ago, and is comprised of a group of enthusiastic undergraduate students competing in collegiate water ski and wakeboard tournaments. From rookies to national title holders, our members are all highly passionate and motivated individuals that live for practice on Lake Lemon. When our members are not in class or on the lake, they are serving the Bloomington area through volunteering and alumni events on and off campus. Our team is a growing presence on Indiana University’s campus, on Lake Lemon, and across the city of Bloomington. We have many aspirations for our upcoming school year, including expanding our membership, doing more for our community, and competing as a team in national tournaments. In order to reach our goals, we need more opportunities to fundraise money in the Bloomington area. A few of our ideas were to set up a grilled cheese stand on a weekend night at a busy street corner, host a car wash in downtown Bloomington, sell our personalized merchandise, and more. On behalf of the club, I wanted to request information regarding how we could turn these aspirations into a reality. I wanted to ask what Bloomington businesses or locations would grant us permission to host a car wash, or do we need to follow a process of steps to be able to vendor on a street corner? Our goal is to have a positive, lasting impact on our community while also reaching our own individual potentials. I hope to get in contact with someone willing to assist our team coming this fall. 905 W 6th St Bloomington, IN 47404 Hello, with the rain this past weekend, I was surprised that both of my containers, waste and recycling, had several inches of water in them. Apparently the lids do not close securely allowing rain to enter which deteriorates paper goods and trash if not in plastic.
