Recently, I reported some damage to the E. Regents Circle street, which the City immediately fixed. The repair work was OUTSTANDING, by the way! The promptness and quality of the repair work was spot-on ... many thanks to the City! However, after a few months we've noticed that the asphalt used for the repair appears to now be "separating" from the original pavement of the East edge of street (see attached photo). Our concern is that as winter approaches, there will be opportunities for water/snow/ice to accumulate, freeze, and actually cause *more* damage to the original repair work. After all the utilities repair that's been going on in our neighborhood, our streets were completely ripped up. The city has since started patching the roads, but they've done a pretty slapdash job of it. The new paving is very uneven and there are gaps and places where it's easy to lose your footing. I've already tripped at least once in the last few days when I've been out walking my dog. I'm a young, able-bodied person so I'm sure you can see how it could pose a risk to the other residents in the neighborhood who might be older or less steady on their feet. I hope this patching effort is a temporary fix and not the final product, because that would be unacceptable. I would love to hear back about this issue and whether or not this is a temporary fix. I hope the roads in our neighborhood can be completely repaved when this water utilities project is fully completed.

It is stated that this is done but the picture clearly shows where there are still large pot holes that look like a small pond in between our parking lot and the apartment building across. There is obviously water in the large holes so if this needs to be done when it is dry outside I would think that would be the best time to fill it so it is even. The job work done in less than an hour time does not look like an efficient job.

There is a really big hole at the corner of East Thornton Drive and South Covey Lane - it gets bigger with each rain (water runs down the hill off Thornton). Do you think that this can be patched soon before it gets much worse? Thank you so much.

There is a gravel area between 730 Atwater and 725 Hunter where the stones have been displaced causing a large pothole. This has become dangerous for the people living in the surrounding houses because when the hole fills with water and freezes in the winter, it becomes very slippery. Also, small cars bottom out when they hit that pothole, and it can't be avoided. It could use some more gravel brought in as soon as possible.

There are many potholes along Old State road 37 that need to be addressed before winter gets here. We really feel that the road should be paved. The road it horrible after you go past Dunn street. Also on N. Fish road there are several spots that need to be taken care of with fill from water build -up. As well as spot holes. Thank you in advance for your help. Have a great day.

The Street Department has enough things to do but we would like to add something to their list. The pavement along the curb in front of our house is breaking up in good sized chunks. There are a several spots that have broken through to the dirt below. One hole is probably eight or nine inches deep and filled with muddy water. We live at 3111 East Tapps Turn. Our street is an extension west of Olcott Avenue in Hyde Park. Thanks for your help. Steve Ulrey

We own a house located at 1222 S Stull Ave. There is a very large drop off from the street to the yard area due to erosion and water flow. It is very difficult to park a car along the side of the street. I see where other adjacent property owners must have experienced a similar issue in the past and the area has been filled in with asphalt. Is this something the street department can review and advise on options? Thanks and please advise.
