I am a resident of Bloomington and live at: 3445 Constance Avenue I am enrolled in a college course called Environmental Technology. I have a project to perform and was asked by my instructor for the following items of the city where I live, Water Treatment Facility. 1. Types of pipe material 2. Initial cost of the water treatment system 3. Design water flow rate 4. Number of water towers and pumping stations 5. Problems with the system since it was built in 1967 6. Change in elevation from highest to lowest compared to where the location of water treatment facility 7. Types of disinfectant used I found three websites with a lot of information that I need but is there any other sites that would give me some of the answers to the questions listed above? Our residence is 1002 W. Acuff Road. We're the only house on that road, but we have NO curbs!! Rain and water has cut a trench along the road which makes it difficult to mow our grass. All the rain and water washes dirt from the farm field behind our house through the trench and all the debris completely covers our storm drain on the corner (near the pole in the picture), and the water washes all across Kinser Pike rather than going in the drain. People are constantly driving through our yard and cutting the corner where the storm drain is. We are CONSTANTLY cleaning out the drain ourselves. We REALLY NEED curbs on Acuff Road. Please help!!!!!

We live on the corner of Acuff Road and Kinser Pike. Under the thick layer of soil and big pile of leaves lies our metal storm drain. Rain rushes and washes dirt from the farm field behind our house via the deep trench along the side of Acuff Road (obviously we have NO curbs or rain gutters), and all that debris ends up on top of our storm drain. The drain is consistently covered and therefore clogged, so all the rain water rushes right over it and flows onto Kinser Pike. We are constantly cleaning all the collected debris from the grate even though we pay for this cleaning/maintenance service on our monthly water bill. We are in desperate need of a solution to this problem.

This is a follow-up to case # 167833. So the storm drain was uncovered, which is good, however, all the debris that was covering it was thrown in our yard--very much NOT appreciated!!! Now, we have to clean that up. Plus, the 4 or so inches of silt/sand/soil in front of the grate is keeping the rain water from reaching the storm sewer as seen in my photo. We received rain today, and it just collected on the road.

Regarding ticket #168173 says it was resolved, but is not. issue remains. Need runoff dug to correct drop. From previous report "Insufficient runoff drainage on the East side of S. Meadowbrook Dr in Parkridge East between 111 S. Meadowbrook drive and the 101 S Meadowbrook Dr causing significant backups and flooding for residents. Particularly the runoff drainage ditch is blocking the culvert in front of 111 S. Meadowbrook. Picture attached. Request the drainage ditch be deepened in this area so that the culvert is unblocked and provides sufficient slope to keep water flowing toward E. Morningside runoff drainage."

The area of Hillside between Weatherstone and Olive has its share of potholes, but it also has a water pipe that is missing its lid. Earlier today the lid was at the curb cut on the east side of Weatherstone although the pipe hole is closer to Olive. Where Olive meets Hillside there is the remains of what used to be a concrete lip, but is almost entirely broken up now.

Citizen objects that Utilities will only repave area torn up for water main installation. Says the work has damaged the whole street and it needs repaving. Says the front of her property has been damaged by storage & removal of gravel, etc. Wants her lawn repaired. Has spoken with Doug Jones who said Mike Farmer would call her. Has also spoken with Dana at Street.
