On E second Street parallel to the footbridge near Anita there is a water meter cover that has not been raised to the level of the street which makes it feel like you are driving over a pothole.
Water pipes were services at a home nearby, Road was torn up and then left in a total mess. fix was made very poorly and left a hazardous uneven surface
water is draining on Bloomfield Road near the Sportsplex light.This creates ice as it did last week. I notified the ciry of this a YEAR AGO and NOTHING has been done.This is a bad drainage problem, water flows onto the street and flows down the hill, going west. All of this water is freezing - near the traffic light and further westbound as it trickles down the hill. When I called a year ago nad reported this, the public works person said she had no idea to whom to give this information. Clearly, she gave it to NO ONE.
First of all, thank you for filling in all the potholes I have mentioned to you over the past weeks. I must say that maybe there is a misunderstanding re # 163413. I don't see any water valve there and the pothole is still the same: intersection of Jordan and Sheridan. Not far from there is another pothole: on S Eastside Drive, where it intersects with First Street. Also, there is a utility cut in front of 1800 E Second, that is getting deeper by the day.
Hello, My name is Lauren McDonald, and I live in one of the units on 1109 South Rogers in Bloomington. There is a water meter in my front yard and the cover was not properly/safely re-attached. This morning I was walking across the yard and stepped on the cover, and my entire leg fell into the water meter. My leg is scraped, swollen, and bruised because of it. I placed the cap back on the hole, but provided a photo below. I spoke to Frank (unsure if his last name) about this issue on the phone, and they are planning to have it resolved. However, I did want it recorded that I was injured because of it. This could have seriously injured a child. In front of our home, 2301 E Arden Dr, there is fairly significant erosion taking place along the edge of the road. I know it's hard on the snow plows and it's just crumbling and could use a fresh layer of tar. If you all could please add that to the repair list, I haven't noticed a lot of trouble elsewhere on the street, but we are on a corner, at the bottom of an incline, and near a water drain. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!!
The city was out filling pot holes on Azalea and in Summerwood Court yesterday and today. This is constantly occuring because the Summit Apartment Complex is directing run off water down onto Azalea. There is a buried system that releases water close to the street. In the winter time, this is quite dangerous because it creates frequent icing near the traffic slowing area. This area is unkept and a blight on our neighborhood. The problem in Summerwood Court is that there was orriginally a storm drain grate that was filled in many years ago. A sink hole has opened up in the neighbor's yard where it used to be. This hole poses a danger. It is in line with the location of the constant patching a few feet into the yard.
At the intersecetion of Sweetbriar Dr. and Sweetbriar Circle in Winslow Farm Addition,(across from BHS South baseball field) the metal water cover has popped up. I looks like it is cracked/broken and someone needs to check on it as it could damage cars, tires or someone might step into the hole.
Can you tell me when 8th Street west of Adams will be patched or repaved? CBU finished replacing a water line weeks ago and coming and going is a jarring experience, especially treacherous by bicycle.
At the corner of Hwy 37 and W Fullerton Pike There is a huge hole on the side of the street. I broke my rim and damaged my tire and costing me around $500 to get replaced and I know I'm not the only one. This is the second time this has happened to me in the past three years. When the holes are filled with water you can not see the holes.
