Water fountain issue - Sherwood Oaks Park, by tennis courts: Would it be possible to get the water fountain pressure adjusted so that the water flow is correct? Right now, the pressure is so low/insufficient, you literally would have to put your mouth over the spigot to get any water out of it. Thank you!
Large areas of potholes, some very deep, on Highland Avenue. The worst area is just north of Winslow Road, where the Winslow Trail merges with the sidewalk on Highland. Often filled with water so it is difficult to tell how deep they are when driving. Also, large areas of potholes are present on both sides of Rogers Road, toward the top of the hill at the entrance to The Stands neighborhood (up the east hill from the Winslow/High/Rogers Roundabout). The small karst feature (sinkhole) on the northeast side of Weimer Lake (in Wapehani Park) has greatly increased in size and depth over the last several months, and the lake is draining away! The water level has dropped by a few feet, and the lake surface has shrunk by half. The city already lost one reservoir this way in the 1940s (the one in Leonard Springs Park); would not it be a shame to lose another one? Is there a way to plug the hole (dumping a truckload of gravel and cement into it, perhaps?) before the entire lake flows aways? The picture shows the lake and the sinhole as of a week or so ago; since then, the water level dropped another foot or two, as the sinkhole's draining point is now much deeper than it was back then. And there seems to be more space for further drop...
Missing water meter cover between 1023 and 1025 S Walnut Street, Bloomington IN. Appears to be an 11 inch cover that is missing.
Issue: Sewage backed up into two homes under our management: 1. 1403 West Allen Street 2. 1405 West Allen Street Significant amount of toilet paper and feces was deposited in basement. Had to be professionally removed and disinfected. Question: Did the City flush or work on lines near or around the Allen Street Properties recently? Is this a normal occurrence? The pipes appear to be clear now, water runs through freely.
Stormwater runoff into detention area on E. Brightcrest on east side of S. Smith Road is slow to drain due to vegetation blockage of storm sewer. During heavy rain it results in water flowing over sidewalk and into the street. It also is flooding spruce trees and thus may be detrimental to their health if the condition continues into somewhat warmer weather.
Fire hydrant on north west corner of Fess & University has been leaking heavily for several days (noticed when walking through neighborhood this past weekend). Don't know if anyone has reported it yet or not. Curb area is large puddle of water (mosquito haven).
The water valve in the street at the intersection of University and Eastside Drive is leaking again. The City fixed this once last year, and the surface around the valve has been subsiding lightly since. There is a puddle of water that makes the subsidence stand out clearly. You can see the water run-off going down hill towards Second Street.
I live at 1009 S. Lincoln St., and running in a perpendicular line to the street from our water access, at the house edge of the sidewalk, there's a big hole. It seems to go below the sidewalk a little. I'm not sure if I should just fill it in, or if it is indicative of a larger problem that should be addressed. I'd love a little guidance from the experts!
