On 6-15-23 between the hours of 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Myself and 2 others had just climbed up the stairs after going down to look at the water falls. We heard a loud car enter the parking area and shut off. however, no one got out of the vehicle as if they intended to hike. I was concerned about my own car because it was the only other one there. My friends and I decided to walk back up to the parking lot to make sure my was not the target of being broken in to or the catalytic converter being stolen. As we approached the parking area, we observed the other car had backed into the parking spot next to my car. We could see the driver standing beside they driver's door. We made noise to let the m know we were approaching, the person standing immediately sat back down in their seat. We saw an adult male slumped over in the passenger seat, totally passed out and not moving or awake. The driver and person who had been standing was an adult women, she seemed oblivious and unaware too. The car was and older car, a big vehicle like police use to drive, possibly a Crown Victoria . The back seat was piled high with clothes,, sleeping bags, blankets, etc. Indicating to me homelessness. The car was painted gray with a large area of the front end painted black. The back window on the drivers side had a star in it, brown like a sheriff's star. It was obvious that they were not intending to hike. We intended to continue our hike but decided the situation seemed unsafe and sketchy. I would have liked to have gotten a photo of their license plate, but as I said they were backed into the spot. As that is a pretty isolated area without others around, I thought I should at least list my concern. It is my hope that the area is patrolled throughout the day. The Leonard Springs Nature Preserve is a beautiful area that those of us who appreciate nature and the beauty of this area should be able to access without risk or fear of something happening to our vehicles or our person. My friends and I are experienced hikers and do so on a regular basis. Unfortunately, this is the first time we have felt such an uncomfortable and sketchy situation. I have lived at my address 5years And since December of 2022 my husband's been on dialysis at home we acquired quite a bit of medical waste as he treats 5 times a week. The problem I'm having is I made a agreement with the supervisor of sanitation to take 7 bags of medical waste for $20. When I got my bill It was seventy dollars When I called about it I got a phone call back and they said some other things had been placed outside of that 7 bags and that's why they. Charged me the $70. We live on a fixed income and they justified it saying that some people get 3 or $400 bills of trash when students move out. I thought there was a cap on it evidently that's not the case. I don't think it's fair that I can't go get another trash service because I live in city limits. And there's no other way for me to get rid of this medical waste. I can't even make a statement by not paying the $70 because then my water will get shut off and he needs water for his machine. Things worked so much better when you bought trash stickers and popped them on the bags you needed to get rid of big mark up to pay $10 now instead of $1 AND Pay for your trash can.

(Note: This is the fifth time that I have sent this report. Now, the trash has not been taken out for EIGHT weeks. Animals have started to get into the garbage. Again, please help to rectify this issue and hold the homeowner accountable.) The owner of this renter-occupied building (Tariq Khan) has not taken the garbage out to the curb for pickup in eight weeks. Also, this home has rain gutters and downspouts that go directly into the ground or into areas between the home and neighboring houses - which is causing water damage to the neighboring houses.

Water bubbling up through pavement along north side of Arden Dr just west of the intersection with Wilton Dr. I reported this earlier in Case #182328. It was reportedly investigated and resolved. But I don't know what "resolved" means. It is still happening, just as it was when the temperature was well below freezing.

water meter cover (??) missing on sidewalk on the west side of college, just north of the train bridge (about a block south of 14th st). trip hazard. not sure if it was removed for construction or what but it's been gone for about a month. thanks!

A resident called about runoff "behind the AT&T store on Willis." He said that he attempted to call utilities about it multiple times but the woman answering the phones was not helpful and claimed that it was the OOTM's oversight and not theirs. He did not want to leave his name or contact information with us. I'm not sure what the process looks like for this, but if someone could check on the water runoff in this area, I think it would be helpful. We have received a few emails about it as well.
