The guard rail at Wingslow and Hinderson is in need of repair or replacement. If someone rear ended my little Miata into that corner I'd either go under into the water or just get decapitated. Please fix this s soon.

111? E. Kirkwood: Some sort of restaurant runoff (floor cleaning water?) is dumped from behind Opi Taylor's/Malibu. This goes on year round, but creates a sheet of ice in the winter (as it is today). The water runs/ices in front of an empty lot, so no one deals with the sidewalk. It's approx. 111? E. Kirkwood, just past the alley behind Book Corner, just at the start of the parking lot next to CVS. I originally reported this in 2017, I guess before it was cold. ureport#161324 and I was told it was runoff from an AC unit, which I think we can be sure is not the case in today's weather. I'm a daily walker from the near westside to campus. This is an ongoing problem. I really would like someone to just take some responsibility for either the initial liquid or the ice that results. Last year, the section of the sidewalk at Washington and Cottage Grove was replaced, but the workers left a trench in the road that collects water and breeds mosquitos. I couldn't help but notice when similar work was done this summer on 10th street and a layer of pavement was laid alongside the sidewalk to fill the trench there. Probably just an oversight but it'd be nice to get this job completed.
They had a water line or sewer line emergency at 719 W 7th and contractors tore up a lot of sidewalk on the South Side of W 7th Street in front of the house. Who is responsible for repair or sidewalk? This happened Thursday night and continued all day Friday 12/15. Contractor was Snedegar Construction.
The small stub of West 10th Street that runs West from Fairview to another short street called Curve Street and runs for one block is a disgusting muddy mess. If you are not going to maintain this street why don't you dig it up and turn it into green space? During the recent rains the City storm water system was so backed up in this location that the entire area completely filled with water (causing water infiltration into the basement of the house I own at 605 North Fairview. The storm sewers are often blocked and the culvert at the bottom of the park is inadequate to handle the water that runs off Ernest Butler Park. The whole situaiton is a mess and largely caused by City mismanagement. Additionally, the City has repeatedly allowed Mr. Goodman to violate City rules and codes and directives and his mess and non-running cars adds to the mix of this mess--once again a case of City mismanagement. This horrible situation has persisted for years. As the owner of 605 N Fairview I am seriously considering hiring an attorney and taking formal legal action against the City for its inattention to its own rules. If the Goodman property were a rental property that I owned I would be getting a complaint notice every other day. Both Matt Murphy (who owns the commercial property which adjoins my house at 605 N Fairview) and I have invested significant money in keeping our properties nice and generally contributing to the uplift of the Near-Westside. Too bad the City is not helping us! My number is 812-322-2050 and I would be interested in hearing if anyone at the City has viewed the situation on this one block section of West 10th Street.
Our toilet drains slowly. There is also a bubbling in the toilet when we run the water faucets in the powder room, the kitchen and upstairs. We noticed the problem with drainage on Monday August 28, and it has gotten worst since. There has been recent work on our easement to lay fiber lines. We are certain the issues for our toilet drainage are directly connected to the work done in the past few days. Please remedy our situation. We are not certain if we can run our showers and laundry due to the backup in our downstairs toilet.
Neighbor has a new asphalt "ramp"to driveway blocking water runoff. I definitely understand the need for the ramp. However,could there be a way to open up a small channel through it? This photo of the standing water was taken on Sunday - 48 hours after the last rain. There was already a tendency for debris and muck to accumulate there before this. Thanks for any help.
Unexpected, unmarked angle in pavement within the 7th St biking lane. This is an addition to the pavement surface that is unsafe for cyclists. It is a hill that is angled for water runoff but not in the private property of the apartments. Not a city addition. Please make it level with the street. Thank you.
When it rains, water sheds to the west off the B-Line and drops sediment on the sidewalk along Kirkwood. It seems preferable that the water would shed toward Morton Street where the storm water drains can other job. The sediment deposit from the rain last week is still covering the sidewalk on the north side of Kirkwood.
