Lifeguard on duty lacks much focus on swimmers in the pool. For example, she has been thoroughly engrossed in her water bottle for the last 15 minutes: taking off the lid, gazing inside it, drinking from it, gazing inside it again, staring at the lid, taking another drink, etc. Fortunately, most lifeguards at Bryan Park pool are very attentive to their safety responsibilities.

The Bryan Park pool is looking a little rough. Both of the larger water slides have graffiti on the inside that you see when you go down them. There are two mushroom-like water features in the Limestone Lagoon: one doesn't spray water anymore and the other is missing its top. The women's locker room has peeling paint and felt damp and grubby. This pool is arguably the best in town, but it is sorely in need of a refresh.

There is a pile of debris sitting along the edge of the road. This is on the east side of Manor Road, where Manor runs between Southdowns and Sheridan as it crosses over the creek. This looks like debris that came from the creek, maybe during a high water time. It just needs to be removed and cleaned up.

The bike path along Sare Road south of the intersection with Olcott is rapidly deteriorating due to continuous water flow over the path that washes dirt, branches and rocks onto the path. Something needs to be done to divert this water away from the path. In the winter the water freezes, leaving the path coated with a sheet of ice. Very dangerous for bikes and pedestrians.

I’ve been using the trails mainly Clear Creek for several years. I’m a bike rider plus walking. The Clear Creek trail seems to be ignored a lot in the last year or so. In the past couple of weeks we have had strong winds, some trees have blown down. The trees were removed in a timely fashion but the small limbs and debris from t/he clean up was left untouched. One area north of That Road and just north of the water fountain gravel and dirt continues to wash out onto the trail but nothing is ever done to resolve the problem. Walking is not as bad as biking but biking can be a real hassle. The trail gets so bad sometimes that I go to Karst Farm even though it’s not as convenient. It seems a lot is being spent to develop the area south of Grimes and Clear Creek gets ignored. I see maintenance workers driving up and down the trail and they even sit and talk a lot but no one ever gets out of the vehicle to improve the trail when only a few minutes could make a big difference. After the last heavy rain in Bloomington, I noticed a large tree next to Jackson Creek on The Goat Farm is going to fall. The roots are showing and the tree is leaning over the creek water. It looks very dangerous because sometimes the children come to play in the water and they may get hurt. If no action is taken, the tree will fall down into the water and block the creek water flowing and cause more damage later. Please see the picture attached above.

The button for the dog water fountain is sticky. I've walked past it a couple times and water is trickling out of the lower bowl. If I push the button a couple times it gets unstuck and the water stops.

The grass on the city side of the ditch is waist high, last time this was cut the city threw a rock into the Storage Express window and I really don't want that to happen again. Can a crew get out to the ditch and trim it before we have another flood and the water has no where to go?!!!
