Footer for detached garage is being dug to close to the property line. Plans show five foot set back. Also while digging footer owner hit some kind of concrete box and water is flowing into footer. Owner has a sump pump to get rid of the water.

PETERS STATED THAT THE CITY DID PAVING WORK ON HILLSDALE LAST YEAR. A GRATE OF SOME TYPE WAS INSTALLED NEAR THE STOP SIGN ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF HILLSDALE & 5TH STREET. THE GRATE MAY BE STOPPED UP BECAUSE AFTER A RAIN THE WATER POOLS AT THIS CORNER. THE WATER DOES NOT RUN OFF, THEREFORE, IT BECOMES STAGNANT AFTER SITTING THERE FOR AWHILE. THESE THEN BECOMES A PRIME AREA FOR MOSQUITOES, CONCERNED WITH THE HEALTH ISSUE.
GOLDSTEIN STATES THAT CITY PAVED THE N-S ALLEY TO THE WEST OF HER HOME IN 1991 OR 1992. APPARENTLY THIS HAS ALLOWED THE WATER TO RUN OFF ONTO HER PROPERTY IN HER CRAWLSPACE.
