At the dead-end of 13th Street where it does not connect with Madison Street, there appears to be no drainage route for water to leave. During rain, it ponds, blocking the sidewalk and the road. The pond remains well after the rain stops. Can some provision for drainage be provided?

Hi. I'm very sorry to bother but as I was cleaning my bathroom a bit ago I found huge dead cockroach in my shower. I'm a very clean person despite being physically disabled and legally blind live on own so keeping my place clean is difficult. There's been problems with the lines under the trailers here off/on for about a year now. There have been repairs made to many however. There is oftentimes a smell of sewer outdoors. I've had odors in my kitchen particularly when using water in sink for a while now too. I've been having a problem with the roaches off/on for several months as well. I've done all I can but I fear they're somehow coming from the underneath of my trailer into the pipes that go into the water/sewer lines. I've contacted the management in past for help in find out the source to that area is they're responsibility but I received no resolution to the trailers are the responsibility of the tenants. I've got roach bait in about every room so the roaches find usually are dead but after seeing one in my bathroom shower upon cleaning I'm very uncomfortable with continuing to not contact on the situation. To this trailer park is on city sewer/water lines seems the most reasonable ones to contact.
I'd greatly appreciate help in this matter. To I'm very concerned for the health of myself and my geriactric cat with kidney disease now.
Thank you very much.

Storm drainage (and even some lighter rainstorms) has repeatedly been eroding and flooding our backyard and street. The recent storms have heightened our concern at the impact runoff water and debris is having on our home/yard, our neighbors yard, and the street below us. The elevation of our yard and street is lower than that of the woods behind us and the street above us (Georgetown Road). All of the water from these locations has eroded channels and pools in their yards, guiding the water into our yard. The water pools in our backyard, increasingly threatening our house. In addition to the large volume of water this forces on our yard and street, we are bombarded by leaves, large sticks, and other misc. debris. This debris clogs the sewer drains at the other end of our street and clutters the street. The amount of water runoff continues to increase on a daily rate and has started to erode dirt in both our and our neighbors front lawns, leading us to believe that increased drainage at the street above or our street are required. If not, alternate solutions and suggestions are requested. If city help is not possible, than approval for commercial drainage/directing of the water through our yard and into the street is requested for approval. Additional videos and photos can be provided.

As can be seen in the photo there are three dry creek beds (swales) feeding the area where the runoff water is pooling during a heavy rain fall. Cause of the pooling is the drain through a small ridge is eroded and clogged up. City needs to remedy this issue.

Loud noise being emitted through the water line and through the apartment building. Staff noted coming from main line. Not sure if there has been work in the area recently and air in the system.

Water ponding after rain. People walk on street or grass to avoid water ponding. One family had a stroller and had to go onto street to negotiate sidewalks filled with water.

Today and always when there's been heavy rain over the last years, 1st Street floods in our stretch, because there's no drain in the block between Stull and Fess Ave. where we are. At our house, the water hits the curb of the alley in such a way that the entire grass patch and side way is flooded, making it dangerous to walk on the side way. I'm attaching a picture of now, when the rain has already become more steady. I can provide a number of short videos we've taken over the years to document the problem. Please, consider installing a drain or let us know what can be done about this. It is dangerous for us, our toddler son and our visitors. Thank you!

Hello,
My home sits at the bottom of an incline where the water in the neighborhood drains onto our driveway and property. Every time it rains the water causes erosion on the property and flooding to our garage and yard.
Not only is the un-directed water effecting us, but is also causing the road to erode where water is standing on the asphalt. As well as eroding neighbors propertys and driveway, which then end up in front of our home puddled in the street,(water, gravel, soil).
A solution could be installing curbs and catchment drains in the surrounding area to better direct the water from causing more damage to ours and neighboring properties.
Please feel free to call, email, or text. I am happy to send additional photos of some of the damage that has occurred.
Thank You

During hard rains, water backs up in the southeast corner of my yard and comes into my garage and basement from the parking pad on the east and below grade through the wall to the north. The sidewalk running along the Clifton St. right of way is the east boundary of my property (see photo). Water simply can't move fast enough to the culvert you installed south of my property on the west side of the sidewalk. Is there anything you can do to alleviate this problem? I'm happy to discuss the details. Thank you.
