I am requesting a ditch or pipe be installed in the wooded easement south of my property that will move the water out to the storm drain that was recently installed last year on Waldron Street in front my house. On April 13th of this year, we received a lot of rain in just a couple hours and I noticed most of the water was coming from the wooded easement South of my house and running down into my yard, pooling up and overflowing down near my basement (where i've had flooding from the street runoff in years past). On Friday April 15th, 2022 around 7:35am I was driving through the intersection of W Second Street and S Adams Street in which there was a city water access hole without the lid resulting in a popped/flat tire on my front passenger side. I was wondering if the city could reimburse me for my auto repair bill considering the cause of my flat was a city water access hole where no lid was present.

All the storm water runoff from the White Oak Cemetery basin, during very hard rains, cannot be handled by the 4-storm drains near the intersection of 7th and Oak Streets. The excess is diverted through the gravel parking of our neighbor at 1025 W 7th, washing the gravel onto the street. The storm water then turns and washes through the alley between 6th & 7th Streets. It then goes through our carport and yard washing our mulch away in places. Oak street was paved in the past and is higher than the storm drain at 7th and Oak so any excess water has do go through the gravel parking instead of down the street. I would be happy to meet someone to look at this problem. Thanks.

I have a problem on my property with drainage. The drainage of my property runs off naturally into my neighbor's yard. His address is 3514 Morningside Drive. When a storm comes, his back yard pools and remains there for a few days until it is absorbed into the ground. I discussed with one of the neighbors how this might be resolved and volunteered to help pay for pipes that would carry the water that pools in their yard to the ditch along Morningside Drive. The neighbor didn't think that would work. Now they have dug out a deeper hole in their yard and are installing a "Sponge Garden." My understanding is that this will retain water and will not allow my yard to drain. This area has backed up into my basement in the past and flooded it. It seems to me that this will occur more easily with the installment of the "Sponge Garden." I appeal to the city of Bloomington to send engineers to come and see if there is some way that water can be drained into the ditch along Morningside Drive.

Wet bottom retention pond damaged by beavers, dam eroded and may fail. Water pipe directed to the creek falls short of spilling into the creek by 15 feet and is eroding the bank and exposing 50% of fine-tree roots near the bank.

Hi. I'm very sorry to bother but as I was cleaning my bathroom a bit ago I found huge dead cockroach in my shower. I'm a very clean person despite being physically disabled and legally blind live on own so keeping my place clean is difficult. There's been problems with the lines under the trailers here off/on for about a year now. There have been repairs made to many however. There is oftentimes a smell of sewer outdoors. I've had odors in my kitchen particularly when using water in sink for a while now too. I've been having a problem with the roaches off/on for several months as well. I've done all I can but I fear they're somehow coming from the underneath of my trailer into the pipes that go into the water/sewer lines. I've contacted the management in past for help in find out the source to that area is they're responsibility but I received no resolution to the trailers are the responsibility of the tenants. I've got roach bait in about every room so the roaches find usually are dead but after seeing one in my bathroom shower upon cleaning I'm very uncomfortable with continuing to not contact on the situation. To this trailer park is on city sewer/water lines seems the most reasonable ones to contact. I'd greatly appreciate help in this matter. To I'm very concerned for the health of myself and my geriactric cat with kidney disease now. Thank you very much. Rebekah

8" water valve cover popped off at Hillside & Dorchester. Eastbound lane of Hillside. Cover at base of stopsign/streetsign SE corner of intersection. This is the 3rd time I've reported this in just over a week (1st 2x's by phone). Why don't you replace with a cover that can be LOCKED DOWN to keep it in place?
